Dear Patients

This message is to inform our patients that Dr. Burns is currently going through some health issues and will be working a reduced schedule. Because of this some patients that have appointments booked with Dr. Burns may get a phone call to reschedule.

We are hoping this health issue will be resolved and Dr Burns will be able to go back to working full days, but for now we would greatly appreciate your patience.

Dear Cheticamp area patients,

Burns Vision Centre has made the difficult decision to close our St-Joseph-du-Moine office effective May 2026.

We can’t thank you enough for your support over the past 37 years. It has been our pleasure to provide eye care and optical services to you and your families and to get to know many of you well along the way.

We will continue with our scheduled appointments in Le Moine until April 28th. We will make 3 trips in the month of May to allow people to pick up their orders or to stop in for adjustments/repairs.

We are happy to provide ongoing eye care and optical services to current patients at our Port Hawkesbury location, including eye exams, ordering glasses or contact lenses, and frame warranties or repairs. For unexpired contact lens prescriptions, we are able to ship contact lens orders directly to you free of charge.

This has not been an easy decision to make, however it is the best one for our small business and staff members at this time.
