After a very busy last few months I have decided to decrease my hours for July and August.

I will only be doing Thursday’s and Friday’s for the months of July and August. I will try to accommodate everyone as best as I can but please keep in mind you may not be able to get an appointment as often as you would like. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause but I need to give my body a break. Thanks for understanding.

Any physical problem we have that has been around for more than a few weeks will have an emotional component to it. It's just how we're wired. ALL emotional dysfunctions we have will show associated physical consequences. This has nothing to do with "imagining" our pain. This is just one of many compensation strategies our bodies undertake daily. More often than not, it is the case that the emotional must be addressed for resolution of the physical to be permanent.

Massage Therapy is an unregulated Health Care Profession therefore I will remain open because of the Covid-19 safety protocols and prevention plan which has been approved by Chief Medical Officer- Dr.Strang and massage association.

Please be advised that you will be screened prior to your appointment so please call to reschedule if you are experiencing any symptoms, have been in any of the hot spots or are not comfortable keeping your current appointment.

I will keep you posted of any changes.

Have you begun treatment on an injury only to have the pain move somewhere else? The particulars of your injury and related compensations dictate where the strain points are in your body. When you make changes, even if for the better, the strain points can change. This is common and should be taken as a sign of progress. It doesn't mean you have a "new problem". When everything is properly healed and balanced again, there won't be any strain points to move.

"Why did this [injury] happen?" This is one of the most common questions I get -- usually several times per day. The answer is simple. One-off, freak accidents aside, injuries usually come down to some combination of three things: repetitive motions, repetitive postures (i.e. static body alignment, work positions, bodily habits like leg-crossing, etc), and old injuries or traumas. Those three things typically either cause the problems or at least create a predisposition/vulnerability to injury. Add faulty body mechanics and general body misuse or abuse to that mix and you've got a recipe for trouble.
