Originally from the UK, Lissy graduated with honours from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2018. She became interested in the massage therapy after sustaining a sports related injury. Through treatment and recovery, she was able to see first-hand the benefits of massage therapy, and this motivated her to switch careers from working in the film and tv industry to massage therapy. Lissy is passionate about helping people and believes all patients are unique and no two conditions or injuries are the same. She likes to adapt her treatments to her patient’s needs and help them work towards their goals, and improve their quality of life. She uses a variety of techniques such as myofascial release, therapist assisted stretching, trigger point release, neuromuscular therapy, dynamic release and other various swedish and deep tissue techniques. In the past she has treated individuals with tendonitis, carpal tunnel, plantar fasciitis, neck and shoulder pain, frozen shoulder, impingement syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, pregnancy, respiratory disorders, strains and sprains and headaches. Lissy is always looking to improve and develop her knowledge and skills further as an RMT and is currently taking a number of continuing education courses. Lissy's areas of interest are Women's Health, Migraines and Headaches and Sports related injuries. When not treating Lissy spends most of her free time writing, going on hikes, camping, cycling and running around the seawall. Although she doesn’t ski in the winter she can be found snow-shoeing through the wilderness and exploring all that BC has to offer. Courses Taken
