In a world where division and negativity seem to dominate the headlines, kindness is a powerful act of defiance.
Pink Shirt Day began in 2007 in Canada as a response to bullying, when two students took a stand against the harassment of a new student who was targeted for wearing a pink shirt.
Today and every day let’s take a stand against bullying in all its forms. Whether in schools, workplaces, online, or in our communities, we all have a role to play in creating a culture where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.
When they go low, we go high.
When others tear down, we lift up.
When bullying shows up, we speak out.
Let’s choose compassion. Let’s choose courage.
Let’s stop bullying everywhere. 💗👚
