After much advocacy and many conversations with Transportation Ministers and officials, I’m happy to say that the road work on the paving project on Route 20, between the Town of Flatrock and the Town of Pouch Cove has started this morning!

I would ask all drivers in this construction area to exercise caution when driving and to please be patient! There will be some delays during the construction period, but will definitely be worth the wait! Thank you.

The recent and past fires in our province have deeply impacted many, from those evacuated or on alert, to others who are distressed by witnessing events unfold. These experiences can bring feelings of fear, anxiety, helplessness, frustration and more.

We are offering free, 1.5-hour virtual sessions that provide a safe and supportive space to:

✅ Better understand the emotional impacts you may be experiencing

✅ Explore healthy coping strategies
