The year was 2016...

And it was the year I decided to make this little business happen. I was on mat leave and felt like I had lots of time to start this business 🤪 from our apartment in downtown Vancouver. As you do.

1) A Summer wedding bouquet for a family member
2) One of the first wreaths I made
3) I used to wrap my orders in plastic 🤢 If you've been here for a bit you might remember that I started this business as Ever Red Fresh Designs 😍
5) Pumpkin arrangements made with floral foam 🤢 when I used to use it (because when you know better, you do better).
6) I randomly set up all my designs on a public picnic table in my neighbourhood and stood there selling my florals.
7) My design studio (aka my one bedroom apartment) with the best tv show of the 2010s keeping me entertained.
8) Thankful to for letting me pop up in their shop for my first proper pop up
9) A selection of wreaths including a 2016 favourite filter
10) The landing spot for a lot of my design work was the window sill.
11) I would drive around the Lower Mainland and pop up at school craft fairs
12) Another in-store pop up, this time at
13) I got accepted at lots of markets around the Lower Mainland and made lots of amazing connections with other small businesses that I still stay in touch with today.

I love this looking back trend. I got to go through photos from the past and remember how I got started, take a minute to reflect on everything I did in that first year, and to see how far I've come.

I hope you take a minute to think about all that you've done and gone through in the past ten years. You deserve to feel good about yourself.
