Lantern creation with friends! We gathered for a beautiful evening of intention setting and ceremony. This evening, I light my lantern to symbolize the process of slowing down, embracing the darkness, and welcoming the return of the light-the light I aspire to bring into my life. I love seeing each child’s unique creative selves shine through in their art. Same supplies, same directive and yet such individual results, no two pieces looking the same!

✨Along side the therapeutic work I do with families and children, I also really enjoy doing project based art in classroom settings. It fills my heart seeing each child’s unique self come out in the creative process! Creativity and play are important teachers, and I am truly grateful to have the opportunity to facilitate a small part of that journey for them. 😊

Such a pleasure making these paper flowers with little people to celebrate their momma’s💕

✨We started by making oil pastel water color resist paintings

✨Then we poured paint over the vases

✨Then we created the flowers out of the paintings with special jewel centers

✨Lastly we placed the flowers into our vases
