April 26, 2026
I recently completed the CTUY 90 day program, and waited until today to provide my progress, thoughts and endorsement about this AMAZING journey.
I began on January 5, 2026 and finished up with my final weigh in on April 5, 2026.
I was a self-professed sugar and chocolate addict.
The progress was steady. I never cheated and lost consistently week to week. I never gained during the programme. I will admit I did not do the exercise portion as there was too much activity for one of my knees. I did, however, do abdominal exercises on my own. A slip on the ice prohibited me from walking, my favourite exercise.
Fast forward to April 5. At the last weigh in I had lost a total of 18.6 pounds. I was very pleased. I had achieved my personal goal. Everyone’s journey is their own and I know there were many people who lost more and I applaud all 70 others who were in this group with me.
This is by far the most enjoyable, painless, delicious program I have ever followed and trust me, in this very weight- conscious weight-shaming world, by age 70 I have tried very many ways to shed pounds and keep fit. This one is going to stick!
I call Patty the Energizer Bunny. She is very personable, wacky, fun, passionate and caring. Best of all, she provides the most delicious recipes for meals and snacks on a weekly basis. All of these are interchangeable which makes it very easy to follow and enjoy.
What have I lost?
I have lost 18.6 pounds, some anxiety and bad habits. I use a Renpho scale, so the progress is very easy to measure. My body has improved in leaps and bounds. All measures are in the green now!
I have lost the sugar/chocolate urge. In fact, I have not eaten any candy. I have tasted some chocolate, but quite frankly, have mostly stopped at one small piece. I still enjoy Patty’s snacks. They rock!
My favourite food is now salad!
What have I gained?
Far more than I lost
I have gained the magical gift of being able to smile at myself in the mirror.
I have also gained ‘smiles’ above and below my belly button, which formerly contained pockets of fat which I have now shed. Good riddance muffin top!
I no longer change my clothing 5 times before going out for the simplest of tasks, including going for a walk.
I have gained much more space in my closets and drawers, having donated about 50 articles of clothing that no longer fit me.
I have gained so much confidence and feel great about myself and am very proud of myself and our entire group. I have gained a whole new lifestyle.
The day after the last weigh in, I flew to B.C. to visit with my son and family. I was away for 18 days. I tried to behave as best I could and my daughter-in-law was very supportive. I did eat homemade pizza made by my son, which was absolutely delicious. I ate lean.
When I got back home, I ate the great meals that I had made ahead from Patty’s recipes, as they are some of my favourites. I was afraid to weigh myself.
I was brave and stepped on the scale this morning, 21 days after my last weigh in..I lost another 2.6 pounds since April 6, and I have now lost 21.2 pounds, more than my goal weight.
I am so pleased with all of this and am very thankful to Patty for her guidance, lighthearted approach, amazing knowledge and conviction, sending daily encouragement, reminders, health tidbits and spreading joy into our lives.
Conquer the Unhealthy You. I did!
