As the days grow shorter and the snow covers the land, we are reminded that winter is a sacred time of rest, reflection, and returning to the heart. This season invites us to slow down, honour our stories, and sit with all that we carry—joy, grief, love, and remembrance.

Honour the teachings of our ancestors who remind us that even in the coldest season, the spirit continues to grow beneath the surface. Christmas can be a time of togetherness, but it can also awaken loss and longing. Wherever you find yourself on this journey, know that your feelings are valid and your spirit is held.

May this season bring moments of peace, gentle healing, and connection—to the land, to your loved ones in this world and the Spirit World, and to your own inner light. May the fire within you stay warm, and may the coming year bring renewed strength, balance, and hope.

From our hearts to yours, we wish you a gentle and meaningful Christmas. 🌲🪶

Your grief is a ceremony in itself.
You don’t need to be strong for everyone else, and you don’t need to carry your pain alone.

Give yourself:
*Rest for your body
*Space for your spirit
*Kindness for your heart
*Support from your circle
*Permission to do the holidays differently

Ways to care for yourself:
-Sit with your medicines — sage, sweetgrass, cedar, to***co
-Bathe or smudge to release heaviness
-Join prayer, ceremony, or a quiet moment with Creator
-Walk on the land, even for a few minutes
-Plan breaks between busy days

Affirmation:
“I deserve gentleness. I deserve healing. My loved one walks beside me in spirit.”

Your heart is learning to carry grief and love together — and that is powerful medicine.

Certain sounds, certain smells, certain gatherings can awaken deep emotions.
Grief rises like a wave, and that is part of the healing journey.

When grief hits, try this:

●Grounding: Breathe deep. Feel your feet on the earth.
●Heart Hold: Place your hand on your chest and remind yourself, “I am safe. I am held by Creator.”
●Smudge or Medicine (Sweetgrass, Cedar or To***co): Let the smoke carry away some of the heaviness.
●Talk or Write: Share your feelings with a trusted person or write a message to your loved one.

Affirmation:
“I allow these emotions to move through me. I honour every tear, every memory.”

Healing is not quick. Healing is a returning — to yourself, to your spirit, to your strength.

When someone we love has left this physical world, the holidays can feel different.
But our teachings remind us that love does not end — it changes shape.

Ways to keep their spirit close:
-Start a new winter tradition that honours them
-Cook their favourite meal and share stories around the table
-Hang a ribbon, photo, or ornament for them on a memory tree
-Step outside under the night sky and speak to them — the ancestors always hear us

Affirmation:
“Their spirit lives through me. Their teachings guide my steps.”

Love continues across every world — the seen and the unseen.

The holidays can stir up memories, emotions, and longing for the loved ones who are no longer with us.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, tired, or disconnected—please know this: you’re not broken. You’re grieving.

Ways to support yourself today:

✨ Give yourself permission to feel what you feel
✨ Light a candle or smudge to honour your loved one’s spirit
✨ Create a quiet moment just for you—deep breaths, warm tea, soft blanket
✨ Say “no” to traditions that feel too heavy this year

Affirmation:
“I honour my grief, I honour my love, and I honour the spirit of the one I miss.”

You don’t have to go through this season alone. Your heart deserves gentleness.

Nurturing Self-Love Through Self-Care

When you care for yourself, you tell your soul, “You matter.” 🌙

Self-care isn’t just bubble baths and candles — it’s boundaries, rest, and reconnecting with your truth.

Ways to nurture your self-love:
Rest without guilt — you are worthy of stillness.
Practice Reiki, breathwork, or meditation to calm your energy.
Spend time in nature — she reminds us that growth takes time.
Treat yourself like your own best friend.

Affirmation: “I am worthy of love, rest, and care.”

✨ Save this post as a gentle reminder that self-care is sacred.
