On Tuesday evening Marianne was presented with an Inspiration Award at the Metis Nation Saskatchewan Western Region II Inspirational Awards Gala. Marianne was acknowledged for her support of the families in the communities that we serve. Recognition from those we care for is the highest and most heartfelt honor that one can receive, and is a powerful affirmation that Marianne and her team provide compassionate guidance to all families as they navigate loss.

When a death is caused by an illness we organize meals, when it's caused by su***de we organize opinions. Stigma doesn't protect families...it isolates them, and that difference says more about our own discomfort than it does about the person who died. Compassion is not complicated, it just requires us to let go of judgement. For families walking this road, presence will always matter more than explanation. 🌹

Being a funeral director is more than a profession—it’s a calling rooted in compassion, respect, and care for the families and communities we serve. Every day we are reminded of the importance of helping others honour the lives of those they love.
