Was a bitter sweet day spent in Waskesiu! Kicked off summer 23, most likely my last, and joined many park staff to celebrate the retirement of Brad and Kevin. Both of these gentlemen have been a pillar during my time as EMS contractor. Having the pleasure of working with them has been awarding and on many times entertaining. They have always been a strong asset to Resource Conservation during their time in Waskesiu. Your presence will be missed by all, but I know you always shared your knowledge and experience to the staff that followed you. Wishing you both the best retirement has to offer!

KPS Medic is currently accepting applications for the 2024 spring and summer EMS contracts.
*Seeking all levels of EMS - EMR, P*P, ICP, ACP.
*Full time, Part time and casual positions available
*Remote, clinic and resort positions available

Minimum requirements
- Licensed in good standing with Saskatchewan college of paramedics
- Must have minimum 2 years experience
- Class 4 drivers license with current drivers abstract
- Available for security clearance prior to offer of employment
- Shift rotations negotiable based on availability
- Accommodations supplied
- Comfortable working alone

What a surprise honour it was yesterday at the Waskesiu community AGM, I was presented with a thank you gift from the council and very kind words to celebrate our 20 years of serving the community of Waskesiu as the EMS contractor for PANP. As was mentioned, that’s 6 consecutive tenders KPS Medic has been the successful contractor. Those that know me professionally, know that I do not like the spotlight. I got into ems 27 years ago, for the patient. Not the pay (lol made more money slinging beer back then) and most definitely not in it for the glory.
As a business owner, you will never see me posting about how hard we worked and how many calls we do, cause it doesn’t matter. What matters is that we are there for the patient and families when they need it. This community is so grateful for what we do. I just about had watery eyes, hearing the kind words and then a standing ovation.
Thank you, it’s great to know that we have made a difference. It has been an honour working with Parks Canada staff here in Waskesiu and getting to know so many of the community folks.

With increased need for EMS folks obtaining their required training, we have set up another session for all mandatory courses. These will be the last dates prior to the SCOP Dec 1 deadline, so do not miss out. All courses are set as recertifications. If you are requiring the full course due to your certificates expired, please advise and we will accommodate. BLS and Mandatory Skills will be offered each day as well. For P*P and ICP - PEPP counts as for your CME Credits
