We would like to introduce our new student doctor to everyone - Welcome to the team Troy!
"Hi, I'm Troy! I'm a fourth-year optometry student at Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. I am currently completing my primary care rotation here in Prince George. Before this, I had the chance to gain experience at a refractive surgery center, and I'm excited to now focus on primary eye care and patient exams.
I grew up on a farm just outside Edmonton, where I spent a lot of time working with horses and helping with hay season. I did my Bachelor of Science in Biology (with a minor in Chemistry) at MacEwan University before heading into optometry school.
Outside the clinic, I love being active — whether that's running, cycling, climbing, skiing, or playing sports like basketball, rugby, and volleyball. Since moving here, I've been enjoying exploring Prince George by bike and on foot, and I always enjoy getting into the mountains whenever I can. On the quieter days, I'm just as happy to relax, watch a movie, or do absolutely nothing at all!
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and being part of the Prince George community during my time here. "
