With 2021 right around the corner we are looking forward to hitting the ground running in the New Year. Literally.

We are going to be kicking off the New Year with a workshop related to all things running. In this workshop we will be covering everything from training programs and running form to footwear and, most importantly, staying injury-free. This workshop is great for individuals who are learning to run, returning to running and even those who have a lot of experience and wish to improve their performance.

Yes! This is so great to keep in mind when developing Physio treatment plans too. So often patients don’t end up doing their exercises because they missed a day, or couldn’t do all of them, but it’s all about finding that sweet spot!

Can we get a double tap if you feel like you're constantly swinging between doing ALL THE THINGS or NOTHING AT ALL?

Been there, done that.

The result of all-or-nothing thinking is all-or-nothing behaviors.

On one end of the spectrum that means not doing anything (because it it's not perfect, why bother?), so accomplishing nothing. On the other end of the spectrum we have full-tilt, change all the things, get dramatic results that can't be sustained so ultimately sliding backwards.... Also accomplishing nothing year after year.

(Um, hello this is every dieters life. Awkward. 😬)

The answer?

Find the Sweet Spot of Change. Not too hard, not too easy, juuu-uuust right. Moving forward imperfectly at a rate you can cope with = steady, long-term progress.

Mind blown? There's more a-ha moments to be had in our FREE live workshop, Chaos To Control: The key to losing weight and keeping it off! Click the link to register >>> https://www.hhhmprograms.com/chaostocontrol

(Shout out to one of our favorite dudes, who is the mastermind of the "Sweet Spot" concept!)

Fresh basil for days!! 🧂
Excess salt intake can lead to water retention, and this extra fluid can put added stress on already achy joints. Using fresh herbs is a great way to replace extra salt, while not sacrificing flavour!!

Be flexible...🧘🏼‍♀️ Rolling out my mat used to be highly conditional. Usually within the walls of a studio, when I had at least an hour of time, with a teacher whose voice was just soothing enough, and there were no other distractions to pull me off of my mat.
When I say be flexible, what I am referring to is dropping these conditions. My new mantra is anytime, anywhere. Sometimes I practice first thing in the morning, or right before bed. Sometimes I am alone, other times I have a toddler crawling all over me. Sometimes I have a teacher guiding me, and sometimes I just move my body.
