Oceanside Hospice Society

Oceanside Hospice Society A space for comfort. A path through grief. This can be a confusing and isolating time for many, and our belief is that no one needs to experience it alone.

Oceanside Hospice Society has been supporting our community since 1990 by serving individuals and their families who are facing end of life issues and bereavement from Nanoose Bay to Bowser. With the support of over 90 Volunteers we offer a variety of support programs from equipment loan delivery, to providing respite for exhausted caregivers. Healthcare professionals, community agencies, family and friends may make referrals to our services, however the person being referred must give their consent or contact us personally. We are located in Qualicum Beach at 210 West Crescent in the lovely house known as "Valhalla". It is not a residential Hospice facility, but is the warm and comfortable home to our office and support programs.

How many volunteers does it take to raise a 25 foot tree?! 😮

At Oceanside Hospice Society, our volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization💗 Without them, many of our programs and services, along with the success of our events and campaigns, would NOT be possible.

This dedicated group of volunteers endured the rainy weather today, in preparation for our LIGHT THE WAY annual display, which will be lit for the holiday season beginning Monday, December 1. The donations we receive during this campaign help us to offer our grief support programs, our palliative equipment loan program, and our overall operations. Funds received allow us to provide ALL services we offer to clients and families of Oceanside FREE of charge.

This year, we’re striving to raise $25,000 in donations, and we truly believe we can achieve this ambitious goal with the support of our generous community donors😁

If a donation form envelope did not arrive in your mailbox, please know that there are alternative ways to make your contribution:
* call the office at 250-752-6227 to donate by credit card
*come down to the Resource Centre at 210 Crescent Road West, QB- we can take variety of payments, and would love to see you!
* online through the Canada Helps platform at https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/137647

Thank you to our incredible volunteers for being so amazing and helping make this holiday display a beautiful gift to our community 🤩 With Oceanside Hospice Society celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, we’re excited for this to be our best display yet! 🌟

Special thanks to Karalena for hosting this special annual event and donating proceeds from the door to Oceanside Hospice Society! We will be there with bells on! Looking forward to seeing all the fabulous vendors and their beautiful Christmas wares!

Yup. It’s that time of the year for my local fundraising Christmas Market in Qualicum Beach🎄The goal for my eighth annual event is to raise more than $1600 to beat last year’s total!

Over 25 local artisans, tarot card readings, local foodies will be here and the local Qualicum Beach Ukulele Band will be strumming a few sets. And let’s not forget the door prize and the 50/50 draw to raise money for the ❤️The recommended door entry is $5.00.

And don’t forget our local downtown shops. It’s the perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday in Qualicum Beach.

We hope to see you here🎄
