Tracy Palmer Naturopathic Doctor Naturopathic Medicine serving greater Saint John, NB

Offering virtual/phone naturopathic initial an I was born and raised in Quispamsis, NB.

I completed my Bachelor’s of Nursing at the University of New Brunswick Saint John campus in 2006. I then worked full-time as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care setting at the Saint John Regional Hospital for two years. After a rewarding personal experience with alternative medicine, I followed my heart and pursued further education at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto

, ON. I am now a NPLEX (Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Exam) certified Naturopathic Doctor that is registered with the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapists-Ontario. I am also a member of the New Brunswick Association of Naturopathic Doctors and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Naturopathic medicine is INDIVIDUALIZED medicine that can help with a variety of acute and chronic health conditions. It is also an excellent choice for people looking to live healthier and prevent illness. It takes the WHOLE person into account, including physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual parts of themselves. I identify the root cause of the health imbalance and then treat with natural therapies. This encompasses modern evidence based knowledge with traditional medicine forms. Natural therapies I use include: diet and lifestyle, Traditional Chinese Medicine (including acupuncture), homeopathy, botanical medicine, and nutraceuticals. I'm really excited to help bring Naturopathic Medicine to greater Saint John. I look forward to educating and empowering our community to be active participants in their own path to health and wellness. Outside of Naturopathic Medicine, I am a dog lover and waiting for the right time to get one of my very own. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listing to live music, cooking (not the cleaning), and yoga. To learn more about Naturopathic Medicine and how it can help you, call me at 216-3000

Fertility is rarely just one thing.

Naturopathic doctors are lucky in an important way — we have the time to look at your whole picture. Your nutrients, your cycle, your stress response, your sleep, and more.

All of it can play a role in your ability to conceive and carry a healthy pregnancy, and all of it deserves attention.

Sometimes the factors that are quietly getting in the way are ones that simply haven’t had the chance to be explored yet. That’s where having an ND as part of your care team can be so valuable — not to replace the support you already have, but to add another layer of assessment and build a plan that’s truly specific to you.

This Canadian Infertility Awareness Week, I’m highlighting three nutritional factors that are worth looking into for fertility outcomes: Vitamin D, iron, and B12. Swipe through to learn more.

You don’t have to figure this out alone — and you deserve a team that has the time to really look. 💜🍁

There is so much information out there right now.

Fasting. Not fasting.
Eat more. Eat less.
“This worked for me.” “Try this instead.”

It’s no wonder so many women in perimenopause feel confused about what to do.

If you’ve tried intermittent fasting because you’re just trying to feel like yourself again— I get it.

But your body in this phase often needs more support, not more restriction.

More nourishment.
More consistency.
More of what actually helps you feel steady and well.

Shrinking your eating window makes it harder to get enough calories, protein, fibre, and healthy fats — all things that directly impact your ovulatory health, energy, strength, and mood.

✨ Looking for more personalized support? This is exactly what we do inside our perimenopause method, The Hormone Hub .

04/15/2026

This is something nobody wants to hear…
but it might be exactly what you need 👇

Before we jump to supplements.
Before we blame hormones.
Before we try to “fix” how you’re feeling…

👉 Check your capacity.

Because what I see *all the time* in clinic is this:
Women who are already at their max… still saying yes.

Yes to hosting.
Yes to helping.
Yes to doing more, giving more, being more.

Not because they *have* to—
but because they care ❤️
And quite honestly, because of societal pressures.

And listen—there’s no shame in that.
I’m vulnerable to it too.

But if you’re feeling:
– tired
– overwhelmed
– irritable
– wired but exhausted

…it’s worth asking:

“Do I actually need (AND WANT) to do this?”
And if the answer is yes—
what level of effort do I realistically have to give?

Because not everything needs to be exceptional.
Sometimes “good enough” is exactly what your body needs.

Before your next “yes,”
pause and ask:

👉 What do I need right now?

If this hit close to home… you’re not alone.
And often the solution isn’t doing more, but simply, doing LESS.

💬 Save this as a reminder for the next time you’re about to overcommit.

I came to a complete stop when I heard this…

said (on one of my favourite podcasts )

“Every year I get older, I love being older more than I loved being younger…
I choose myself more.
I like the way my face looks.
I like it.”

And it felt… refreshing.

Because if you spend any time online right now, the message is pretty clear:

👉 This phase of life is hard
👉 Your hormones are going to wreak havoc
👉 You should expect to feel off, exhausted, not like yourself

There’s almost this underlying expectation that things are going to get worse.

And for a lot of women—without the right support—they can.

But that’s not the full story.

Because what I see in clinic is something very different when women are actually supported through perimenopause:

✨ They feel better
✨ They feel more like themselves again

Not because aging magically becomes easy—

but because they’re choosing themselves. And they’re no longer navigating it alone, dismissed, or without answers.

So yes, this phase *can* feel hard.

But it can also feel… better.

Let’s be honest—
when your digestion is off, food becomes the easiest thing to control.

So you start removing things.
Gluten. Dairy. Sugar.

And at first? It can feel empowering and symptoms might actually feel better.
But over time…

👉 More restriction
👉 More fear around food
👉 And often… symptoms not actually better.

Because IBS is rarely just a “food problem.”

And long-term restriction—without guidance—can come with real risks:

• Nutrient deficiencies
• Worsening symptoms
• Gut microbiome changes
• A strained relationship with food

This isn’t about saying elimination diets are “bad.”
It’s about asking:

Was this done with a plan?
With support?
With an exit strategy?

Because you deserve more than just managing symptoms. You deserve a plan that supports:

✔ your nutrition
✔ your nervous system
✔ your gut flora and long-term gut health

✨ If this resonated, it might be time to take a different approach.

04/02/2026

We need to talk about IBS… and why it’s not always just a gut issue.
Because if your symptoms change throughout the month—👉 more bloating👉 more constipation👉 more urgency
…that’s not random.
Research shows IBS symptoms are often worse after ovulation and before your period, with shifts again during menstruation.
Meaning your gut isn’t just reacting to food, stress, or supplements…it’s also responding to your hormones.

This is where a more integrative approach matters—because treating your gut without looking at your hormonescan leave a big piece of the puzzle untouched.
If your IBS feels unpredictable…it might not be.

And once you notice the pattern, you can treat accordingly.

💬 Have you noticed your symptoms change with your cycle?

Menopause isn’t the problem. The system leaving women unprepared and underserved is.

For too many women, finding help during perimenopause feels like an uphill battle.

Because the system often looks like this:

- It can take the average woman over a year and multiple appointments before perimenopause is even mentioned
- Women notoriously feel like their health concerns are dismissed and are left feeling like it’s all in their heads.
- You’re told your labs are “normal”
- Many are left piecing together information from Google, podcasts, or influencers — trying to self-manage something that deserves real expert guidance.

So of course women feel unprepared.

But what if perimenopause and menopause didn’t have to derail how you feel and function?

What if, instead of wondering “what is happening to me?,” “I don’t feel like myself...”

…you already understood the changes your body was going through and you felt prepared and supported for the transition ahead.

I’m here to help make things clear and bust myths.

Join me to discuss perimenopause (what to expect and how to manage), and the potential impact it can have on your health (and wealth), with Wealth with Bev Kennedy-Steeves.

Crowdsourcing your perimenopause symptoms from Google, Chat GPT, and podcasts?

No wonder you’re overwhelmed.

You don’t need more opinions — you need a plan that fits you.

I get it. It’s hard - there is a certain amount of peace and practicality that comes with having the house clean and life feeling organized.

But if you continue to prioritize only those tasks, and the things that are helping others, it will start to come at the expense of your own well-being.

You’re already doing enough - but are you doing enough of the things that bring you joy, fill up your cup, give you a sense of peace, and/or are simplifying things for yourself?

If you’re not, those little whispers from your body that you’re not feeling like yourself, can move into irritability, fatigue, burnout, and worsening hormonal symptoms, such as PMS.

This isn’t about doing it all.
It’s about doing what matters — for your peace, your joy, and your hormone health.

Not because she didn’t want help—
but because she was so used to pushing through.

This is for the woman who’s been told, “You’re fine,” when she didn’t feel fine.

For the one who’s second-guessed her symptoms.

✨ There’s another way. And it starts here ☺️
