Join me for my virtual Celebration of Yule: a two day event where we share our thoughts, light candles, burn paper, and celebrate life, tradition, and nature.

Yule (or the Winter Solstice) is one of the oldest and most universal sacred holidays humanity has ever known. Long before it was absorbed into Christmas, it was celebrated by the Norse, Germans, Celts, Romans (as Saturnalia), and countless other pre-Christian cultures as the moment when the darkest night gives way to the return of light. Here’s why it still deserves to be joyfully observed today—whether you’re pagan, spiritually eclectic, or simply someone who loves meaning and seasonality.

1. It Marks the Return of the Sun and Hope

2. It Reconnects Us to Nature’s Rhythms
3. It’s a Season of Warmth in the Cold

4. It Honors Rebirth (Without Dogma)
5. It’s Joyful, Sensual, and Life-Affirming
6. It Belongs to EveryoneWhether you call it Yule, Jul, Alban Arthan, Midwinter, or just “the holidays,” the bones of the festival are the same: light in darkness, feasting in scarcity, hope in uncertainty.

So drag in a Yule log (or a cinnamon-scented candle), hang evergreen boughs, pour something warm and spiced, and stay up late with people you love. The sun is being reborn, the wheel is turning, and for one shining moment we get to stand at the hinge of the year and say:
“We made it through the dark. Now watch the light grow.”

Happy Yule. ☀️🌲🕯️

This is a High Fitness appreciation post ⚡️

About a year ago, I walked into my first High Fitness class, I had no idea what I was doing, I was two left feet, but the instructors were great with their guidance and the room was packed with energy.

I felt leaving beyond amazing, so much that I actually came home and checked out their website on becoming an instructor myself. I loved the momentum and the energy and the style so much that I knew I wanted to incorporate this into my daily life.

The community is like no other, these ladies lift you up and encourage you and support you every step of the way. There’s no competition with each other, just with yourself and your personal goals!

You can get your high fitness training for half price right now, just $150, and let me tell you it is going to change your life for the better!

FOOD NOISE

So I played around a bit with carbs the last few weeks, and I should’ve known better. I gave myself an inch, and in return I also took a mile 😆

I added in some more dairy carbs, as well as squash and some veggies and fruit… food noise is a real thing and it is something that I don’t know how to control yet. This is why I quit drinking, I am an all or nothing kind of gal, I should know this by now!

I needed this, though, to test my limits and know my boundaries, and now I know that I will stick with a more strict way of eating again for the next few months. I know that simplicity is best for me, simple meals, simple flavours, nothing extravagant. This is what works for me, and I know this.

I’ve been called extreme before for my way of eating, but when you’ve been overweight since elementary school, you decide to take action and you learn what works for you and what doesn’t, no matter what names they may call you!

💡 Did you know 💡

It is literally imprinted in our DNA to fast. Our ancestors never woke up to a big hearty breakfast, they had to hunt and gather their food, and sometimes didn’t eat until after lunchtime or even dinner, if at all that day.

A lot of people use intermittent fasting as a form of weight loss or weight maintenance, but did you know that there’s so many more health benefits to fasting than just weight loss? Go check out the word Autophagy and see for yourself!

I’m a big advocate of ‘you find what works for your body’ and ‘it’s not always a one size fit all’ approach, but I strongly encourage you to at least read a little bit into it before you knock it. Read the book Fast Like A Girl, that was a game changer for me!

Thank you all for consistently showing up for your body and mind - And my love of yoga and sound 💗
