Poses I’ve been trying to improve and now I’m finally seeing the results of my hard work!

Don’t get discouraged if your body ‘doesn’t move that way’ because I guarantee one day it certainly can. Keep going, keep trying. DO. NOT. GIVE. UP. PERIOD!!!

I’ve been practicing yoga for over 20 years and since having children my body has needed a lot of extra love. I lost the ability to get into certain asanas but I keep telling myself it will happen again one day.

Cheers to these 3 poses that I have been able to accomplish in the last few months, and cheers to many more along the journey of a healthy life.

It’s crazy how a year of hard work and dedication can change you! There’s about 65 pounds difference here in just under a year.

So many people want a quick fix. You can’t just go for one run, eat a salad, and call it a day.

There’s discomfort, there’s sweat, oh, there’s a lot of sweat! There’s days where you doubt yourself, and there’s days where you feel so bad ass you never want to quit.

Consistency is key. Rome was not built in a day, and neither were you. Stay consistent and stay confident in the journey.

Depending on your goals, your journey may be a few months or may be a few years, my journey will last a lifetime!

I’ve lost 100 pounds on three separate occasions now, once before I had children, and twice after having children. Even though I have all of the tools and resources, it never gets easier, I still have to put in the hard work and have that growth mindset.

Leave your excuses at the door and just do it. Don’t wait until Monday, don’t wait until the new year, start today!

Excuses are like 🫏-holes… Everybody has ‘em!

The biggest thing I hear with the majority of mothers I work with is ‘I don’t have time’ and let me tell ya, I totally get it!

If you’re wanting to make a change, to truly honour your body and challenge yourself, you will make the time.

I offer so many options for mindfulness that include the kids and options that don’t, and classes that are 5 minutes and some that are 30… The ball is left in your court to make the jump shot!

You can incorporate your kids into so many healthy habits, even meditation, so learn to work WITH your children and your schedule instead of against it.

It isn’t a change if it isn’t a challenge, and I am all about accepting that challenge, are you?

Pregnancy can take a toll on our bodies. Followed by childbirth and the postpartum stage, hormones and nutrients are all out of whack in the mother’s body, and for quite some time! I rely on bone broth (amongst other animal based foods) to replenish my mom-brain with the nourishment it deserves 🥩

Simmered from bones and connective tissues, delivering a rich source of collagen, gelatin, and minerals like calcium and magnesium, which bolster joint health, improves gut integrity by soothing the digestive lining, and enhances skin elasticity while providing anti-inflammatory benefits for overall wellness.

Grass fed and organic are the way to go, but if you can’t get your hands on that just see what your local butcher has available and go from there! I put mine in the instapot for 3hr15min and let it sit overnight… Turns out flawless every time!

I freeze portions of it to bring out weekly, reheat about half a cup on the stove top, and sprinkle with some real sea salt. Voilà 👌

Hi everyone! I am Vanessa, a 30yr female, and also a graduate of the prestigious Blanche MacDonald Center in Vancouver, BC. Having 9 years under my belt, I always find one thing, my knowledge and my passion keep growing more and more each and every day in this industry. I don't just have a job, I have a career. There's nothing I love more than to be a positive part of my clients busy schedules...whether it's a simple eyebrow wax or a relaxing massage, I guarantee that your service and time with me will be the highlight of your day. I am still open to taking new clients, and am also very flexible with my schedule to accommodate each and every one of your needs :)
