It is with many emotions that the Scrobe family announce the passing of beloved wife and mother, Diane Scrobe.

Diane passed away quietly in her sleep on February 24th, 2026 at the General Hospital in Regina. She was predeceased by her parents Traval and Mildred McDonald, and older sister Darlene. She was part of so many lives and her kindness will be deeply missed by us all. She is survived by her loving husband Eugene, sons Aaron (Erin) and Ashley (Mamiko), sister Donna, and grandchildren Lukas and Logan.

Born on October 27th, 1950 in Preeceville, Saskatchewan, Diane and her family spent their younger years living in rural Saskatchewan including Hazel Dell and Reserve where Diane’s father worked for The Pas Lumber Company. The family eventually moved to Regina where she attended and graduated high school. In 1970 she married the love of her life Eugene with whom she would go on to celebrate 55 anniversaries together. In the following years Diane and Eugene began a family in Regina before moving to Dysart, Saskatchewan in 1981 to operate the local grocery store and meat cutting shop. It was in the community of Dysart that she found her home and would go on to spend her remaining years while becoming an integral part of the community.

In the years following retirement from the grocery business, Diane would work as an insurance agency administrator for Wheatland Agencies in Cupar for nearly thirty years, as well as becoming a post-mistress for the Dysart Post office. She took great pride and enjoyment in being involved in community groups: The Dysart and District Historical Society, the Dysart Golden Years Club, as well as being involved in the Lutheran Church in Lipton, Saskatchewan. Over the years of being involved in many parts of the community, Diane developed many close friendships which she cherished deeply.

Diane will be forever remembered for her warm smile, her generous heart, and the tremendous affection she had for her family and friends. While we will miss her greatly, we will also be forever grateful for the memories and time we had with her.

As per Diane’s wishes, a service where her ashes will be laid to rest as well as a celebration of life will be held in June in Dysart, Saskatchewan, as she did not want people to have to travel in the cold winter months.

Vicky Lynn Wilson
November 15, 1955 - February 17, 2026

Vicky Lynn Wilson, of Govan, passed away peacefully and without pain on February 17, 2026.
Vicky was predeceased by her parents, Leonard Wilson and Kathleen Wilson, formerly of Balcarres. She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Gary, and her nephew, Kyle.
Raised on a farm near Balcarres, Vicky grew up with strong prairie roots that shaped her hardworking spirit, resilience, and deep devotion to family. She graduated from Balcarres School in 1974.
That same year, Vicky began her life partnership with Rodney Roberts, with whom she shared over five decades of love and commitment. Together they raised three children and built a home where everyone was always welcome.
Vicky was a devoted mother to her children Garnet, Garrett (Gennine), and her beloved “baby bear,” Brittney (Justin); her grandchildren Shealynn, Brielle, Nyla, and Hudson, each of whom brought her immense joy.
In 1976, Vicky began her career with the Public Service of Canada, where she served with dedication and integrity. In 1988, she moved to Govan, Saskatchewan, where she continued to build a life rooted in community and family.
Vicky was known for cooking enough food to feed an army, never knowing how many of “the boys” might be coming home. Her table was always full, her door always open, and no one ever left hungry. She cherished the simple moments—sitting back with a beer by the fire or enjoying quiet evenings on the patio with the people she loved.

There will be a celebration of life held at a later date to honor Vicky in the way she would have wanted.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the compassionate staff of Pasqua Hospital Palliative Ward 3A for their exceptional care, kindness, and support.
Vicky’s strength, warmth, and unconditional love will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

William Charles Reimer
July 2nd, 1942 - February 5th, 2026

It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of William on February 5th, 2026, at the age of 83.

William Charles Reimer was born in Sandy Bay, Manitoba, and grew up in Winnipeg, where he later met and married Gloria, and together they welcomed their son, Vincent.

William spent more than 30 years living in Florida, a place he truly enjoyed—especially the golf course. An avid golfer, he loved the game so much that he even worked at the course when needed, jokingly making it official since he was there so often. Beyond golf, William found great joy in hunting and fishing.

William was predeceased by his parents, Catherine and William Reimer.

He is lovingly remembered by his son, Vincent (Pam); grandchildren, Lacey (Andre), Coty (Tamara), and Dylan (Danni); and great-grandchildren, Trey, Kaiden, Caleb, Kingston, Gabriel, Jaxon, Emma, Khilice, Amira, Lexxi, and Ariana. ERIC EMMANUEL DANIELSON

At age 105, Eric passed peacefully on Jan 25, 2026 after a short hospital stay and an active 6 week stay in Manitou Lodge, Watrous. He was predeceased by his wife of 75 years, Louise and their son Ken. We rejoice that he is with his Lord and Saviour.

Dad was born to Olaf and Lydia Danielson on the family farm, east of Strasbourg, and was the youngest of six children.

Havelock School was where Dad attended grades 1-8, then grades 9 and all but two subjects of grade 10 by correspondence.

In 1937 at age 16, Dad started 'working out' at a local farm (Nordquists). Payment was $5.00/month under the Government Relief Program.

Dad's older brothers, Rudy and John were both conscripted to WW2 in 1942. Since their father had passed years earlier, Dad, age 21, remained to run the family farm with his mother, Lydia.

Dad farmed with horses from 1942-1944 and often proudly told us, bought his first tractor in 1945.

September 28, 1948 Eric married Louise (nee Lofgren). They had attended different schools but the same church. They settled on the Danielson homestead, growing grain, raising cattle and chickens and always grew a big garden. They had three children, Shirley, Ken and Darlene. Those were very different days but they considered life was good. Dad often said "farming was a good life and place to raise a family."

Dad's volunteer work was extensive:
-helped to dig the East Mount church basement.
-3 years as school trustee for Bryn Mawr School
-6 years on Strasbourg Co-op Board
-10 years as church treasurer
-many years as usher and church trustee
-many duties on snowclub and cemetery board

In 1984, Eric and Louise retired to Strasbourg, choosing a house close to church and open fields behind them and with space for a large garden. Early retirement years were filled with volunteer work, driving for seniors and delivering Meals on Wheels.

In 2010, Mom and Dad moved to Centennial Manor in Strasbourg. Dad was often heard to say, "this was a good move for us." Dad was grateful, in his words, for good enough health to spend many enjoyable times hunting and especially fishing.

Dad will be remembered as a quiet, patient, caring Dad and Grandpa, uncle and brother-in-law. He has been described not only as loving but lovable; staff at Manitou Lodge said "they loved him to bits". He exemplified Micah 6:8: "What does the Lord require of you, but to do justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 30 @ 1:30 pm at East Mount Cemetery. All are welcome. Following, there will be a Meet and Mingle at Strasbourg Town Park Picnic Shelter.

Heartfelt thanks to all who shown love and friendship to Dad over the years and especially to those who have cared and prayed n the years since Mom passed.
