Reiki Training Red Deer Dear Friend, Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. I still remember my first Reiki Certification Training I took like it was yesterday.

Reiki Certification Workshops (all levels), Meditation, Manifesting Abundance, Practical Spirituality Life Skills, Emotion Mastery, Devine Feminine/ Masculine through in person events and now through the Metaphysics Online Academy. It was the fall of 2004. Earlier that spring I had been healed of a severe lower back injury through a method I never ever dreamed was possible. A friend of mine, who h

ad been reading a book on energy healing, came over and by gently resting his hands on my lower back initiated a healing process that in two treatments restored my back to the health and vibrance I had once enjoyed but thought I may have lost forever. That was when everything changed. I began to explore all areas of energy healing, meditation, energy physiology, and more. I started a weekly meditation group and have conducted over 200 meditation gatherings. After taking my initial Reiki levels in 2004 I became a Reiki Master and Teacher and taught my first certification class in December of 2005. Since that time I have taught hundreds of students through out Canada, the United States, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. Sharing what I have learnt with people just like you is not a 9 to 5 job for me. It’s not something I do. It’s what I am here to do. For myself and my team it truly is a way of life. When someone says they "sense the energy in the room," it can sound mysterious. But there's nothing mystical about it.
Your nervous system is constantly scanning your environment, picking up cues from the people around you, the space you're in, the subtle emotional undertones that your conscious mind never formally registers. It converts all of that into sensations in your body, images, and internal dialogue.

It's not a gift. It's biology.

And like any skill, it gets sharper with attention. When you learn to pause and actually listen to what your nervous system is telling you, you stop overriding the signal, and start using one of the most practical tools you've always had access to.
That's what sensing energy actually is. Your body, reading the room. Before your mind even catches up.

Here's a clip from a manual I'm working on called The Calm Bridge. I really like how it frames triggers.

Triggers Lose Their Automatic Authority
In the first manual, we described the trigger as a pattern match your system detecting a signal in the current situation that resembles something from the past, and running the program that was built for that earlier context.

Triggers don't disappear in the regulated state. The history that built them is real, and the patterns were formed for genuine reasons. What changes is their authority.

In the dysregulated state, a trigger is essentially automatic. The match is made, the program runs, and you are inside the response before you have had any say in the matter. The gap between stimulus and reaction is so narrow that it might as well not exist.
In the regulated state, that gap widens. Not always dramatically, sometimes it is just a few seconds. But those seconds contain something that was previously unavailable: a moment of genuine choice. The trigger is recognized. The old pull is felt. And the system can, with increasing reliability, make a different move.

This is not the same as suppressing the response or white-knuckling through it. The old pattern is acknowledged. The feeling that accompanies it is real. But from the observer position that the regulated state makes available, there is enough space to choose a response that actually fits the current situation rather than the historical one.

You’re not stuck because you don’t know how to heal, you’re stuck because you keep trying to figure it out. The mind wants a method, a system, a “right way.” But your body, your nervous system, your energy, it already knows the most efficient path to release trauma and stress.

The real shift is this: stop trying to control the healing and start creating the conditions for it. When you soften the need to solve it mentally, and instead build a safe internal environment, your system begins to unwind naturally. This is where practices like meditation for anxiety or Reiki training become powerful, not because they fix you, but because they act as catalysts that support what your body is already trying to do. Your role isn’t to force healing, it’s to allow it.

Most people think Reiki is about giving energy, but that’s not quite what’s happening. It’s less like charging something that’s empty and more like removing what’s been quietly in the way. When the system feels safe, the body already knows how to regulate, restore, and rebalance itself. What we call “healing” is often just the natural current being allowed to flow again. Reiki simply creates the environment and introduces the catalyst for that process to unfold, bridging what we feel as spirit with what we understand as biology.
