Meet Tracey, the author of the heartwarming new children’s book The Adventures of Buster and Billy!

Tracey first began writing this imaginative story back in 2022. Like many creative journeys, his had a pause — the manuscript was misplaced and tucked away for quite some time. But sometimes, the best stories find their way back to us…

Recently, Tracey’s mother discovered the long-lost manuscript in their van, giving Buster and Billy a second chance to shine! With renewed inspiration, Tracey completed the project — bringing the adventure to life with vibrant AI-generated illustrations that add a modern, creative touch.

This isn’t just a children’s book — it’s a story of perseverance, rediscovery, and believing in your ideas.

💛 Happy Family Day! 💛

Family comes in many forms.

It’s the ones who visit regularly.

It’s the lifelong friendships formed around the dining table.

It’s the care partners who show up every day with compassion.

At Taylor View Towers, we are more than a residence — we are A Vibrant Caring Community.

Today, we celebrate connection, belonging, and the beautiful relationships that make our home so special. Whether family is near or far, chosen or biological, every resident here is surrounded by people who care deeply.

Wishing everyone a day filled with love, laughter, and meaningful moments.

Taylor View Towers Very Proud of Our Gold Medalist!

Recently, one of our residents, Gordon—73 years young—took part in the international cross-country skiing competition Ski for Light. More than 80 visually impaired competitors from around the world gathered in the stunning Kananaskis area at William Watson Lodge.

In his very first competition—and his first time ever cross-country skiing—Gordon won the gold medal in the men’s 2.5 km race! Remarkably, he says he didn’t even train for the event.

Inspired by his success, Gordon has now set his sights on an even bigger goal: the Paralympics. We couldn’t be more proud of his determination, spirit, and incredible achievement.

The Prognosticator have spoken - Prognosticator is just a fancy word for one who predicts the future… and in this case, it’s an overworked rodent being yanked out of a burrow and asked about seasonal climate patterns. Science ✨

A perfect split too—3 saw shadows, 3 didn’t. That’s basically the groundhog version of a hung jury. At that point you’re fully justified in picking the verdict you like best. I pick the three that did not see their shadows for an early spring.
I have had enough of winter.

Eden Principle #5

Recently the residents and care partners of Evergreen Trail and Panorama View (4th floor) on North View Tower came together in a celebration of creativity, connection, and community. The day’s activity, a collaborative art project, was more than just an afternoon of painting.
Each resident and care partner dipped their fingers in paint, adding their unique fingerprint to a series of canvases depicting vibrant trees.
The finished canvases now stand as colourful symbols of unity, belonging, and joy.

It was a living expression of the Eden Alternative Domains of Well-Being: Connectedness and Joy, and a beautiful embodiment of the Principle of Spontaneity.

Friday we gathered for our annual Eden Celebration with good food prepared by our talented Food Services and we looked back at all the Ten Eden Principles lived throughout the year.

Principle # 1 Loneliness, helplessness, and boredom are painful and destructive to our health and well-being.
