A Wonderful Afternoon of Fun! 🎤

Our very first ECP/Resident Karaoke event was a delightful and fun-filled afternoon! Residents and Employee Care Partners came together to share music, laughter, and great company. With nine brave performers and a room full of enthusiastic supporters, the atmosphere was lively and joyful from start to finish.

Team members from Administration, Recreation, Maintenance, Health Care, ALA Social Worker, and even our General Manager joined in the fun, along with a wonderful mother–daughter duo. The room was filled with laughter, applause, and plenty of memorable performances.

A big congratulations to our winners:

Today we proudly honored Delacey, Tina, and Sherri-Lynn in celebration of Therapeutic Recreation Therapist Awareness Month.

These incredible women are dedicated to providing purposeful leisure and recreation experiences that enhance the residents’ physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being. Through creativity, compassion, and commitment, they bring joy, connection, and meaningful engagement into everyday life.

Even when it’s snowy and cold outside, winter carries its own quiet wisdom.

The seasons of our lives are not measured only by weather, but by the depth of our connectedness — the warmth we feel when we are truly engaged with others. Growth comes through enrichment, through the small daily practices that stretch our minds and soften our hearts. Meaning is found not in grand moments alone, but in the steady rhythm of purpose.

And identity… identity is the story we gather from each season. It is shaped by who we love, what we learn, what we endure, and what we choose to become. When we can share that identity with others — openly, authentically — we create belonging. We remind one another that no season is lived alone.

Winter may surround us, but within us there can still be warmth, growth, meaning, joy, and a sense of self that connects us.

We would like to inform residents and families that our external phone lines are currently experiencing an outage. Incoming calls are not working, and outgoing calls are intermittent at this time. We are actively working with Shaw Communications to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

Please be assured that all employee care partners are aware of the situation and will use cell phones in the event of an emergency. Internal calling remains fully operational, including resident call bells.

Meet Tracey, the author of the heartwarming new children’s book The Adventures of Buster and Billy!

Tracey first began writing this imaginative story back in 2022. Like many creative journeys, his had a pause — the manuscript was misplaced and tucked away for quite some time. But sometimes, the best stories find their way back to us…

Recently, Tracey’s mother discovered the long-lost manuscript in their van, giving Buster and Billy a second chance to shine! With renewed inspiration, Tracey completed the project — bringing the adventure to life with vibrant AI-generated illustrations that add a modern, creative touch.

This isn’t just a children’s book — it’s a story of perseverance, rediscovery, and believing in your ideas.
