As I stand on that stage representing Feet Terrific Nursing Footcare, I am deeply humbled and grateful. This recognition isn’t about one person but it’s about a team, a mission, and a community that believes that even the smallest act of care can leave a lasting footprint.
Feet Terrific began with a simple vision: to make medical footcare accessible, dignified, and patient-centered. What started as one nurse with a kit has grown into the Terrific Nursing Team—a group of passionate nursing professionals who bring skilled, compassionate care to hundreds of clients across Central Alberta every month, day by day, season after season.
Our work goes beyond medical attention. Each visit is also a moment of social connection—sometimes we’re the only friendly face a senior sees that week, or the reassuring voice that encourages a client living with diabetes to keep walking toward wellness. These human moments are what drive us.
We’ve seen firsthand how something as ordinary as footcare can restore independence, confidence, and hope.
That’s why this award means so much.
It affirms that patient-focused care, quiet innovation, and genuine compassion still matter, and that the work of footcare nurses deserves to be recognized.
To the Terrific Team, thank you for your skill, your heart, and your humor—you are the soul of this clinic.
