We live in a culture that puts a lot of emphasis on hard work and long hours. We give all of our energy to the grind, while we rarely address the other side of the coin- rest and restoration. Often, those who need this the most are the last to make the time to 'charge their batteries'. They work through the pain and its a matter justifying if they decide to take a little time for themselves.
The reality is, if we make this a priority, we will be able to be the best version of ourselves so we can serve the other people and causes in our lives that are so important to us. Sometimes, so called 'selfish' time is the only way to truly be selfless- because it helps us be the strongest version of ourselves.

Do you know when your should apply heat or when you should use a cold pack?

We all know that sometimes it is hard to know when to apply heat or cold.

The general guideline is that tense, stiff tissues need heat, whereas new injuries (up to 4 days old) or problems that have swelling and/or sharper pain should be treated with cold.
