Hey everyone,

I was at the Dragon Boat Festival in Wascana Park today by Pine Island. Hillside Smoke N Que was there and I was talking to the owner Shane. All their meet is He and he uses Care buns. One of the staff has family with Celiac Disease as well, so he said they were super careful.

I was actually invited in to see how they handled my food (so I am a volunteer there), anyway, my bun never touched a surface, hand or knife that wasn’t clean and the bun was always on paper to prevent it from touching any surface.

I was super impressed with how much care was taken. And I can’t tell you the last time I got to have beef brisket on a bun like everyone else…and it was soooo good!!

So if you’re looking for something to do this weekend, maybe head over to Pine island in Wascana Park and support Shane and Hillside Smoke N Que and check out some of the activities.
