Mobility is one of those things people underestimate…until they lose it! Me included! I will admit I did not take my mobility seriously for many years then was forced to due to an injury.
It’s not just about being “flexible”. Mobility is so much more. It’s about how well our bodies move, the ability of our joints to move in a full controlled range of motion and the ability to stay pain free while doing daily activities.
If mobility is limited, our bodies start to compensate which can cause stiff muscles, limited range of motion and our risk of injury increases substantially especially if we are active and as we age.
Thai massage is an effective way to increase mobility—it can loosen things up faster than stretching alone—but lasting mobility comes from consistency and using the new range on a regular basis.
