More childcare and preschool photos from Earth Day! 🌎

Our childcare kids got their hands dirty for a big cause. From planting tiny seeds to learning how flowers bloom and vegetables grow, they took a meaningful step toward caring for our planet.

Over at Little Village Preschool, we took the end of a romaine lettuce head, placed it in water, and watched it grow. Yesterday, we got to taste our very own fresh salad.

Earth Day reminds us that even the smallest hands can make the biggest difference. By nurturing nature today, they are growing a greener, healthier tomorrow for all of us. Let’s teach them to love the earth, respect it, and protect it, because this planet is their future.

Today is Earth Day! 🌎

A reminder that the little things matter. The meals we share, the spaces we care for, and the choices we make every day all come from one place.

At the Village, no one celebrates Earth Day quite like Chef Chris. Even down to wearing a globe-inspired chef coat. Because at the end of the day, every ingredient that comes through our kitchen starts from the same place: The Earth.

It is something we do not always think about, but it is something worth appreciating.

Today, we’re celebrating the people who keep everything moving.

Happy Administrative Professionals Day to our front desk team, the heart of everyday Village operations. From welcoming guests to supporting residents, families, and staff, you’re often the first face people see and the steady presence that keeps everything running smoothly.

Our team had the opportunity to attend this year’s Take a Break Luncheon by the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce at the Conexus Arts Centre, connecting with other professionals in the community and taking a well-deserved pause from the day-to-day.

We appreciate the patience, organization, and care you bring into every interaction. It does not go unnoticed.

What does everyday life look like in a Personal Care Home?

At Harbour Landing Village, it is not defined by a fixed routine. It is shaped by the moments that happen throughout the day.

Time is shared across generations. Residents take part in activities that support movement and wellness. There are supervised outings, music, and small gatherings that bring people together. There are also quieter moments, where care continues through planning, communication, and attention behind the scenes.

Each part of the day contributes to how residents live, connect, and feel supported.

It is a setting where care is not only provided, but experienced through people, relationships, and a team working together across the Village.

This afternoon, we had the honour of celebrating a truly meaningful milestone at Harbour Landing Village.

We are incredibly proud to have been recognized as Top Senior Living Community in Canada by ElderCare Review—a national recognition that reflects so much more than just an award. It represents the heart of our community, the dedication of our team, and the trust of the residents and families we serve every day.

For a Regina-based organization to receive this level of recognition is something we do not take lightly. It speaks to the vision we continue to build—one that focuses on connection, innovation, and creating a true sense of home for every person who walks through our doors.

This afternoon’s celebration was filled with laughter, conversation, and shared pride. It was incredibly special to come together with residents, families, staff, and community partners who all play a role in making Harbour Landing Village what it is today.

Sweet treats and even sweeter moments 🍩💛

Our Little Village Preschool recently hosted a Donut Party for students and their parents, bringing everyone together for an afternoon that felt both fun and easygoing. Families enjoyed donuts and refreshments, while the kids got creative decorating their own (paper!) versions.

Around the room, different activity stations kept things moving. There was plinko, kinetic sand, and a sensory bin—simple setups that gave the kids space to play, explore, and interact with one another.

Moments like these are a big part of what we do at Little Village. It’s about creating an environment where families feel welcome and kids can learn through play, connection, and curiosity.

We’re now accepting enrolment. Come be part of our Little Village!
