🏝️ We brought the beach to the Village — winter and all. 🏝️

Yesterday, Harbour Landing Village turned into a full-on Beach Resort Day. Flower tattoos (first ones for many!), coconut bowling, beach volleyball, tropical drinks, music, laughter — plus families, kids, and smiles everywhere. We even had Maui and Moana make an appearance 🌺

Huge thanks to our residents and families who dressed up and leaned right into the island theme, and to our staff who ran the activity stations and kept the day flowing. And a special shout-out to CTV Regina for unexpectedly stopping by — what a fun surprise.

The day wrapped up with tropical dishes prepared by Chef Chris Miller and the Roots team for residents and families, followed by a Hawaiian dance performance from Hugpong Sayaw Dance Troupe to close out the night.

Even in the middle of winter, days like this are about keeping life at the Village active, social, and full of moments worth sharing.

Big little skills in the making 🧹🪟🛠️

This New Year, our Little Village Preschoolers have been learning practical life skills through hands-on play — from vacuuming and washing windows to building bridges, washing clothes, and even changing tires. And they’re just getting started!

These everyday experiences help build confidence, independence, and curiosity while making learning fun. Preschool is a meaningful stage in a child’s journey, and we’re committed to creating a joyful, enriching environment where children learn through a balance of free exploration, guided play, and structured activities — supporting growth in creativity, confidence, and critical thinking.
