Jasper has recently completed our 12 week nutrition & training program. He saw incredible results and dropped over 20lbs in this time.

He trusted us to put a plan in place, did the work and is now reaping the rewards of being leaner and carrying more muscle.

Can’t help but feel gratitude this week for these two new amazing Women’s Stronger groups! 🙏

Thank-you to everyone who trusts us with your training. Thank-you to those of you that took that difficult step this past week to step foot into a new gym.

We know that starting something new can feel intimidating or scary. We promise you that it will be worth it and that you will start to feel stronger than ever while building new friendships and bonds along the way.

Our powerlifting area has expanded!

We have added a new custom deadlift platform that includes band peg attachments to help with your speed work.

As the bands act against the barbell, the resistance increases as you get closer to the top. This can be a great tool to help improve your form and lockout on the deadlift.

We hope everyone likes the new setup!

The spookiest lifting event of the year is back! Join us for Night of the Living Deadlift — a Halloween-themed fundraiser where monsters, ghosts, and ghouls come together to raise some bars (and some money!).

🎓 Glute Ham Raise — Proper Form & Muscle Activation Guide

The glute ham raise is one of the most effective movements for developing the posterior chain, but only when performed with proper form. Many lifters accidentally shift tension to the lower back instead of the glutes and hamstrings — here’s how to fix that:

🔹 1️⃣ Set-Up
• Position your knees just behind the pad so your hips can stay extended throughout the movement.
• Keep your torso in a straight line from your head to your knees — avoid arching the lower back.

🔹 2️⃣ The Descent (Eccentric)
• Lower your torso slowly and under control.
• Focus on resisting the fall using your hamstrings.
• Maintain neutral spine alignment — don’t hinge at the hips.

🔹 3️⃣ The Ascent (Concentric)
• Drive your toes into the footplate and your knees into the pad. Squeeze your glutes to initiate the return.
• Think about pulling your body up with your hamstrings, not your back.
• Finish the rep tall and tight — glutes engaged, core braced.

✅ Coaching Cue: “Keep your hips forward, squeeze your glutes, and pull with your hamstrings.”

This movement builds real posterior chain strength when executed correctly — perfect for athletes, lifters, and anyone looking to improve hip stability and lower-body power.

More hardware coming home for 🇨🇦

stepped on the Worlds stage in South Africa this morning and put on an absolute clinic bringing home the 🥉 in her class.

She competed in the M1 84kg class and went 9/9 on her lifts with personal bests across the board and a 20kg PR total!

Sandi’s lifts were:

Squat: 175kg (386lbs) 🥈
Bench Press: 97.5kg (215lbs) 🥉
Deadlift: 177.5kg (391lbs)
Total: 450kg (992lbs) 🥉
