We had a very special visit from Mayor Chad Bachynski, who stopped in today to learn more about FSWC!

And did you know that today is Giving Tuesday?? Giving Tuesday is a global movement that started in 2012 with one simple idea: a day dedicated to giving back. It happens every year on the Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, encouraging people to shift from shopping to supporting — whether through donations, volunteering, spreading awareness, or simply doing something kind for others.

The goal? To inspire generosity in all its forms and support the causes, organizations, and communities that make a difference.

If you’re able, consider supporting the work we do. Every bit makes a difference!

It’s Giving Tuesday 💙

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving — a chance to come together, support causes we care about, and make a difference in our communities.

If you’re looking for a way to give today, here are a few ways you can support the work we do:
💥Make a donation – Every dollar helps us deliver more programs and support. https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/139467
💥Spread the word – Tell a friend about the work we do.
💥Share our posts – A quick repost goes a long way!
💥Volunteer your time – Help out at events or around the centre.
💥Fundraise for us – Add a donation option to your event or initiative.
💥Advocate for inclusion – Use your voice to help build awareness.
💥Stay connected – Follow along, engage, and be part of our community.

It all counts, and we’re grateful for it all 💪

A busy (and awesome) week! 📸

Andy started things off with a visit to the crew at FSWC Quebec, then met up with Sandi, Katie, and client Braden in Toronto for the 11th annual Canadian Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Association conference.

It was a great few days connecting with folks from across the ABT community, sharing ideas, and learning together. Andy also had the chance to speak about how we use FES at our centre, including our FES bike program!

Andy had a great 2 day visit with our team out in FSWC Quebec - Centre québécois d'entraînement adapté FSWC!

Great times on the ice this weekend! 🥌

We hosted a wheelchair curling event on Saturday — nothing too serious, just a fun day to get together, throw some rocks, and enjoy the game. That said... things still got a little competitive 👀

Big congrats to our winners:

🏆 URO Medical – took out the top spot
🥈 Tryline Curlers – solid effort for second place
🎯 Stone Cold Curlers – winners of the consolation final

Thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a great day. Already looking forward to the next one!
