As part of our 9th Annual Curling Bonspiel, we are excited to announce the addition of our Healthy Athletes: Opening Eyes event! 👀

Event Details:
📆 Saturday, January 27th, 2024
⏱ 1:00pm - 5:00pm
📍 The Meridian Inn & Suites Regina Airport (3800 Harbour Landing Dr, Regina)

Healthy Athletes is a program with 8 different health pillars, each providing health screening within specific focus areas. Opening Eyes is one of the 8 programs offered, focusing on providing vision and eye health assessments!

Studies have shown that people who ate more leafy vegetables have a 20 to 30 percent lower risk of developing glaucoma. Why? Nitrates in green vegetables can be converted to nitric oxide, which can improve blood flow and help regulate pressure inside the eye. (Added bonus: green, leafy vegetables are also helpful in reducing risk for macular degeneration!)
