Float Now YQR Permanently Closed

08/20/2022

There is no easy way to say this, but unless we find a buyer for September 1st, this is goodbye.

I have now words for other than I’m sorry.

Thank you for all the good years of floating.

Bouyantly,
Christian

We are committed to hosting floats for those with existing credits. It’s nice to continue seeing your faces & hear how floating has impacted your lives.

We are no longer able to provide online booking or keep up with the phones. There are only two of us & we are committed to spending the time we have left in the center focussed on the people in front of us. For any enquiries please email us at welcome@floatnow.ca

We are deeply saddened to announce that Float Now is closing sometime in August or September. Whether the closure is permanent, or whether it is temporary and we are able to open up under new ownership has yet to be determined. We were hoping for the best, but we now know that this is the end of our journey here at Float Now.

Closing is an impossibly difficult decision to make, and we've been holding on for dear life for the last two years. This month we have been spared the difficulty of this decision as we no longer have the financial means to operate our centers any longer.

We know how much of an impact this place has had on you, and we want you to know how much of an impact you've had on us. Thank you for making us feel loved and appreciated during our time here in Saskatchewan. We'll always remember your smiling faces as you walked through our doors—and we hope that you'll remember ours too!

I've been so touched by the support and love we've received from you all over the years. I want to thank the staff who supported us from the bottom of my heart. You put your heart and soul into making Float Now a place that was so important to so many people, and I hope that you take with you all the good memories of your time here. You were the foundation of so many people's healing journey's, and I wish you all the best as you move on to new adventures.

I want you all to know how much I appreciate your participation over the years, and how grateful I am for every single person who has ever walked through our doors. When we first opened in 2012, we had no idea what would happen—we just knew that we wanted to create a space where people could find respite from their busy lives, and leave feeling refreshed and empowered. And you all helped us do exactly that! Thank you for bringing your friends and family here, for supporting us financially, for cheering us on personally when things got tough, and for sharing with us your stories of finding relief in floating time and time again.

Buoyantly,

Christian

We are still hosting floats! Now is the time to come in enjoy the benefits. Everything in life is impermanent, but we are still here.

⏰Important announcement for all members, credit holders, and gift card holders

There's no easy way to say this, but due to the economic reality of running two large float centers in our current environment, the future of Float Now is very unclear.

I know this is not an easy time for anyone. We have been working to find a solution for our business, but it has been difficult, and we are still working on it. Because the future of our center's is up in the air we've taken some steps to ensure we can safely and fairly serve our existing members, credit holders, and gift card holders.

As you may have heard:

✔️we are suspending all new membership payments in the summer months

✔️we are suspending the sale of all new gift cards during the summer months

✔️ we are suspending the pre-sale of float packages during summer months

We want to be clear that our float family is amazing and all of us are committed to keeping this space alive as long as we can. We are taking these steps to ensure that if you already have float credits with us, you will be able to use them.

The reason for suspending new membership payments is because our finances were severely impacted by "you-know-what-19". We did our best and fought through for the last two years, but we've reacehd a point where we are not certain we can continue to deliver the services you deserve if we take on pre-payed floats. We will do everything in our power to keep floating available and affordable for as long as possible. If you have float credits with us we will find a way for you to float.

We are planning to operate at a reduced capacity until our situation changes.

We love and appreciate you for all the support over the years. Tanks for the memories.

Buoyantly,

Christian

🦋🌸🌈Your friendly neighborhood floaters!

These folks live at the float centre and care very much about making sure you have a great time. In fact, they're always just a phone call or an email away!

Did you know it's impossible to get all of them to smile in one picture? The furthest we've ever gotten is two!

They also care a lot about floating and your mental health. They bring their own experiences with floating to the table and make sure that they provide you with the best experience possible.

Our Story

It's a place to effectively train your nervous system to be more relaxed, and less affected by life's stress. This is achieved through the practice of floating. In this practice you enter what is essentially the world's most high tech enclosed bathtub, which contains 11" of water blended with 1000lbs of epsom salt. You get naked, lie down in the solution, and effortlessly float. The water is heated to the same temperature as the surface of your skin which makes it skin receptor neutral (if you lie still you will stop feeling it). There is no light, no sound, no external sensory stimulus whatsoever, and even the effects of gravity are almost entirely remediated.
