Biologist (MSc), botanist/herbalist, academic, aromatherapist, horticulturalist, homesteader I am so happy to be back with all of you. Susan Rever MSc
First a little bit about me and how this business has evolved over the years. I started my personal journey as 'The Organictarian' when I developed health issues in 2010 (hyperthyroidism, Grave's disease and stage 4 endometriosis). Yes all 3 in the same year. I learned that the 'health food' I was eating and the personal care products I was using at the time were contributing to my diseases/disorders. I made a choice in 2011 after my laparoscopic surgery that I had to make BIG changes to my lifestyle or my health would continue to deteriorate. And yes, all of my conventional medicine tests, bloodwork and physical exams up to that point revealed I was 'healthy.'
So I started on a journey to reverse my conditions and gain back my health. I am happy to report that it has been over 10 years since I have reversed my conditions. I love using my own experience and education/knowledge to help other people become healthier. We decided to move out to the country to an acreage (now 3 years ago) so I could start growing my own herbs and homestead. This led to The Organictarian evolving into Nature Nurture Wellness. I will forever be The Organictarian as everything we grow is organic. My values and beliefs have not changed. With my new business venture, I will be offering botanical products, homesteading products, workshops/retreats and healing/wellness jewelry. I am an academic with 20+ years of experience in curriculum design and lab/course/workshop facilitation. 25+ years experience working with botanicals. My journey started at Olds College in horticulture. I have had some amazing jobs/positions in the botanical, environmental and agricultural industries. I hope to help as many people as I can live a happier and healthier life sharing what I have learned, experienced and continue to learn.

I am Susan Rever - I started my personal journey as 'The Organictarian' when I developed health issues in 2010 and I learned that the 'health food' I was eating and the personal care products I was using at the time were contributing to my diseases/disorders.
Since then, I have been on this journey to reverse my conditions and gain back my health. I am happy to report that it has been over 4 years since I have reversed my conditions. I now enjoy using my education/knowledge and experience to help other people become healthier.
I have two MSc degrees - Biology and Environmental Science/Geography. I have been teaching in academia for over 15 years. My background is interdisciplinary with BSc degrees and diplomas/certificates in more than one discipline i.e. biology, botany, horticulture, environmental science/geography, aromatherapy, nutrigenomics, dietary supplements, health & safety. I have taught in the Department of Biology at the University of Regina, and in the College of Agriculture and BioResources at the University of Saskatchewan. Some of the courses I have taught as a sessional lecturer and/or laboratory instructor are human biology (i.e. genetics, evolution, physiology, anatomy, epidemiology, nutrition), biological principles (i.e. cell theory, genetics, homeostasis, metabolism, energetics), ecology, environmental science, soil science, sustainable agriculture, food science/security and the Kingdoms Animalia, Plantae, Fungi, Protista, and Monera.
Before attending the University of Regina, I majored in horticulture at Olds College in Alberta. I have been working with plants/herbs for over 20 years. I am also a clinical aromatherapist, and have worked for both the provincial and federal governments here in Canada.
I have been working in the health and wellness industry for over 10 years as a holistic health and wellness consultant. My specialities are autoimmune diseases (gut/digestive health, leaky gut syndrome, pH balance, and food intolerances/sensitivities) and hormonal issues. My mom was diagnosed with Celiac Disease over 20 years ago before there were gluten-free sections in the grocery store. I developed 3 autoimmune/endocrine disorders in the same year (hyperthyroidism, Grave's Disease and stage 4 endometriosis). I reversed all 3 of my conditions using holistic approaches. Autoimmune disorders run in my family (thyroid and diabetes).
I use the integrated holistic approach to wellness. This includes using aromatherapy, herbal remedies, personalized programs, dietary needs, lifestyle recommendations, assessments and tests, certified organic products, eliminating toxins, and health and wellness education. I am a professional member of the National Wellness Institute.
