Hi Everyone!!

It's that time of year again and the holiday's probably have everyone hustling and bustling. In the craziness of the season, don;t forget to take five.

This week's card indicates it is important not to forget yourself this season. If you are running around trying to get everything done for Christmas while also balancing everything else you normally have in your life don't forget to try and take five for yourself.

Whether it's at the end of the day before bed or first thing in the morning when you wake up, take five minutes for yourself to have that cup of tea, read a couple of pages from a book, have a bath instead of a fast shower. You're important too, ask for help, delegate what you can to others if that helps. Don't forget yourself and give yourself a break. You might be superhuman and super is definitely right, but don't forget you are also human.

Hi Everyone!!

This week's card is about noticing the good we have in our lives. When life is a constant struggle or there always seems to be something going wrong, it's easy for your main focus to be on the challenges that life throws at you.

Take a few minutes this week to notice the things you have in your life that are easy to take for granted. Got a really comfy bed? Acknowledge that you have that and how awesome it is. Got a favorite decoration in your house that you really like, like a nick nack or something that was given to you? Stop and look at it. Got a good friend that's been through thick and thin with you? Call them up or look at some old photos and remember the fun times you've had.

Now, this doesn't make your problems go away and it may not make things easier, but it might for a short time at least give you something to focus on that is pleasant and bring your stress level down a notch and make the motions behind the stress more manageable.

There's good things in your life too, it's just hard to see or remember sometimes unless you change your focus.

Hi Everyone!!

I've got a bit of a cold so it'll be short and sweet today.

This week's card says it's a good week to let go of anything you might be holding onto that is causing you stress. Sometimes we carry memories and situations with us that stress us out because we have not processed the experience. Take some deep breaths, do whatever you need to do for self care and focus on releasing anything that you might be carrying that no longer serves you.

It's not about forgetting, or moving on, just coming to peace with what has happened and be able to live with where you are now. Does this require writing it down, talking to someone or reading a self help book or TEDD Talk? Whatever you need to be at peace with where you are now, this is the week to process, breath and let go of the stress around the situation.

Hi Everyone!!

This week's card is about acceptance.

When it comes to the people in our lives we can hang on to a lot of difficult relationships that no longer serve a purpose for us and we can do a big disservice to ourselves by hanging onto old thought of maybe they will change, maybe they will do better.

We love the idea of a person or the person we want them to be and think they can be but the actions and words of that individual, whether this be in a romantic relationship or a friend or family member, show you exactly who they are.

A person has to want to change and change is hard which is why so few people truly commit to changing. It takes effort to break old habits and change thought patterns and it also takes self reflection and acknowledgment that how they behave hurts others.

Often times they might acknowledge the behavior and say they will change with time, but without a timeline and visible effort for a consistent amount of time, these are empty words. The acceptance comes from making a choice. What is the value you have for yourself and possibly your family depending on the individual in question and do you accept that this person's behavior is who they are and live the relationship you have with them as is because that is who they are. Or do you limit your time with them or walk away because you know you want and deserve better treatment.

Everyone has the capacity for change, this is true, but most people don't truly grow and change because of how difficult change is. It is easier to deny or justify the behavior than work to change it. So the choice is up to you, accept the individual for who they are and the role they currently play in your life, or you be the change and change your own life.

Hi Everyone!!

Hi everyone this week's card is about that "What's missing" feeling.

Are you one of those people who did everything you thought you were supposed to do and still feel like something is missing? Or are you struggling with what you want in life and just can't quite figure out what is missing?

This week is a good week to start working on that feeling. If you have a willingness to do the work needed to step away from old habits and belief systems that may no longer be serving you, there are many tools available to you.

Try reading books like the Power of Now or One Day My Soul Just Opened Up.

For those like me who struggle to turn off their brains to meditate, Instead of focusing on yourself and looking inward, bring your attention outward and simply observe. Notice what is going on around you. That’s it! Simply taking the time to stop, observe, notice, will give space for you to see any changes you might want to make in life or what area of your life you want to add to.

Remember, it's your life, It’s about YOU. It’s about figuring out what makes you feel fulfilled. What brings you joy or makes you feel alive. What gives your life meaning or purpose.

It’s also about figuring out what gets in the way or stops you from doing this. And how you get in your own way.

And then it’s about taking the steps needed to build your life and work around what you truly want.

It doesn’t have to be a big change (although some people choose to do it this way). For many people, it’s a case of taking steps in this direction and paying attention to how you feel and how your life changes as you do so.

Gradually, as you begin to notice things or make changes, you might discover that it wasn’t the things in your life that were causing distress, but rather it was the choices you were making based on what you thought you should do, rather than following your heart.
