Whether you’re on the field or cheering from the sidelines, being prepared can make a big difference. ⚽🏈

Here are a few tips for sports first aid that might come in handy this spring:

Know the basics: Learn how to handle common injuries like sprains, cuts, and concussions.
Pack a kit: Keep bandages, ice packs, and any necessary medications handy.
Stay hydrated: Bring water for yourself and others.
Have a plan: Know who to contact and where first aid stations are.
Monitor for signs: Watch for fatigue, overheating, or unusual behaviour in players.

A little preparation keeps everyone safe and lets you focus on enjoying the game. Be ready this season with a Sports First Aid Kit, you can find them here https://sja.ca/en/product/821.

Spring is here, and with it comes event season, from marathons and music festivals to local community gatherings. 🌱 🌷 It's a time for fun, connection, and activity, but it also comes with potential risks. Being prepared helps keep everyone safe and ensures events run smoothly.

If you're planning to attend events this spring, there are a few things to keep in mind. Stay hydrated, dress for the weather, know where the first-aid stations are, and pay attention to your own well-being as well as those around you.

Being mindful and ready helps you enjoy events safely and support others if something goes wrong.

Stress is part of everyday life, but it doesn't have to take over.

Notice how it shows up in yourself: trouble sleeping, irritability, headaches, or feeling constantly on edge. You might also see signs in others, like withdrawn behaviour, tension, or sudden mood changes.

Simple ways to cope include taking a few deep breaths, stepping outside for some fresh air, or talking things over with someone you trust.

Taking small steps like these can help you feel more in control and support the people around you, too.
