Here’s a list of reasons a Registered Massage Therapist might place a client on a “do not book” list:

1. Inappropriate Behavior: Any form of inappropriate conduct or harassment.
2. Missed Session(s): Failing to attend scheduled appointments without proper notice.
3. Non-Compliance with Therapist’s Recommendations: Ignoring or not following the therapist’s advice for post-massage care or exercises.
4. Contraindications: Development of health conditions or changes in the client’s health that pose a risk during massage sessions.
5. Failure to Respect Clinic Policies: Not adhering to the established rules and policies of the massage therapy clinic or spa.
6. Late Cancellations: Frequently canceling or rescheduling appointments at the last minute, affecting the therapist’s schedule and ability to serve other clients.
7. Refusal to Provide Necessary Information: Withholding essential health information that could impact the safety and effectiveness of the massage, such as not completing and signing form.
8. Disruptive Behavior: Engaging in disruptive actions that disturb the overall tranquility of the massage environment.
9. Non-Payment: Issues with payment or refusal to settle fees for services rendered.
10. Abuse of Therapist’s Time: Excessive demands on the therapist’s time beyond the agreed-upon session duration.

It’s important for therapists to establish clear boundaries and maintain a professional relationship with their clients to ensure a safe and effective therapeutic environment.
