Self care looks different to everyone and I feel changes every day.

Today it is as "simple" as I am having a shower before I start bedtime routine with the kids. So many nights I get everyone to bed. Lunches ready. Then jump into editing or working on other things and I don't have it in me to shower at 10pm.

So I have energy now. Everything else can wait.
Did I leave the children with ice cream so I can have about 8 minutes before someone needs me. yES and that's ok. 🌻

The sun makes a world a difference.

Update cortisol levels decreasing
Acne decreasing
Has been gone for 3 weeks
Moods have stabilized mostly. When I was sick I had sad days.
Down 13 lb
Able to not get angry because I wasn't eating food that I wanted. To make me feel better.
Increased energy
Drive to keep going is there.

Drove by Tim Hortons without getting anything today.

Some days are easy
Some days are hard
Some days are in between

Today we are in between. We have had two very busy days with a lot of stress and I think I'm coming down from that. But I stepped on the scales this morning and we are down 10 lb since I've started this journey. That was enough to give me the kick in the butt to go out and do a little walk.

The sun is shining. The birds are chirping. It's a pretty great way to start off the day.

So get the hell outside today even if you are feeling frumpy and go hug a tree.

Little Miss Daisy never misses an opportunity to steal free snuggles if you are sitting on the floor.

So week two and my blood pressure is starting to stabilize more that I can do exercise minimally without wanting to pass out or throw up. So that is a win. I have had to find the proper time to take it and right before bed seems to be my current only option or I feel like a truck has hit me.

Please remember that everyone is different with blood pressure and you don't have to accept that, 120 over 80 is your normal. If it's something you want to be aware of then track it yourself and see where you stand. Learn to listen to your body.

But find ways to move your body that work for you and meet yourself where you currently are!
