We use specialty testing such as Optomap Retinal Imaging and Visual Fields to assess ocular health. We use digital retinal imaging to help assess your ocular health. We provide glasses prescriptions, fit contact lenses and perform LASIK consultations.

Our Story

Dr. Allan Hum and Dr. Carolyn Wong are a husband and wife team of optometrists who met while attending the University of Waterloo School of Optometry. Dr. Hum established the Yonge Street office in 1996 and Dr. Wong joined the practice in 2002. In 2017, they decided to relocate their office to a brand new location on Bayview Avenue and Elgin Mills Rd after the retirement of Dr. Hum’s brother, Sonny, who operated Pinnacle Optical next door. After moving to the new office location, Dr. Hum and Dr. Wong have upgraded their clinical equipment including: a new retinal camera called the Optomap California which provides an ultra-wide field retinal image to allow the doctors an incredibly clear view of the back of the eye to help diagnose eye disease, a Humphrey Visual Field machine which assesses a patient’s peripheral vision to help diagnose diseases like glaucoma and a new Computerized Phoropter and LED Visual Acuity Chart was added to Dr. Wong’s exam room. Both doctors enjoy regularly seeing entire families for their eye exams and are focused on providing exceptional medical eyecare.
