Pilgrim Feast

Pilgrim Feast is looking for VOLUNTEER Senior Citizens to come and share their life experiences with other Seniors. The goal of the Seniors Helping Seniors Adopt Healthy Life Style Program is to help ease the process of aging and make the transition as stress-free and enjoyable as possible, we like to think of it as "Aging Gracefully". Our focus is to support a healthy lifestyle by involving our Seniors in activities throughout the community so they will continue to have a sense of purpose and belonging. The program will adopt the "train the trainer model". Seniors whoa re still active and well will be involved in the initial organization of the program, representing the interest and needs of other seniors in the community. Funding will be provided in part by Government of Canada (New Horizons) which is a program that supports the social participation and inclusion of seniors through promoting volunteerism among seniors; Engaging Seniors in the community through the mentoring of others and supporting the social participation and inclusion of Seniors.
