Part 2: Finding Our Feet
🚑 A few years in, and we were ready to grow in every direction.
By April 2009, Western Pacific Emergency Response secured its first ground ambulance rental contract to support pipeline work in Dawson Creek, marking a major step into serving large‑scale project needs. 🚧
Just months later, in June 2009, we launched ShowMED, our dedicated medical support and ambulance standby team for special operations and events, from planned events to film and television productions across British Columbia. 🎬
Then in July 2010, with wildfires becoming a growing threat in the province, our iMED and GroundMED paramedic teams stepped up to support the BC Wildfire Service. 🔥
Over several summer wildfire seasons, our crews provided onsite emergency care using 4×4 Mobile Treatment Centres, Emergency Transport Vehicles, and ambulances — further proving we could deliver expert medical services in the toughest environments. 🙌
These years were about expanding our capabilities, building trusted partnerships, and proving that Western Pacific Emergency Response could deliver professional, dependable care in every context.
🚀 Come back for Part 3 to see how we expanded our fleet, capabilities, and reach across BC, supporting major industrial projects, film productions, and critical emergency response like never before.
