Meet our experienced acupuncturist, Mika! ☀️

Mika is a passionate and dedicated third-generation practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), carrying forward the rich legacy of her grandfather and father. With over six years of experience honed in the vibrant city of Shanghai, Mika now brings her expertise and deep-rooted family wisdom to a new community.

Mika is committed to healing and empowering her patients through holistic approaches. Her focus areas include pain management, skincare and beauty enhancement, and women’s health and fertility. She combines ancient techniques with modern insights to help her patients achieve optimal well-being.

Outside of her practice, Mika embraces the art of mindfulness through yoga and meditation, finding balance and tranquility in her life.

Mika is fluent in English and Mandarin.

We welcome Tiana, a talented registered massage therapist to our team! 💫

Tiana is a graduate of Langara College’s Registered Massage Therapy program, where she developed a strong foundation in both clinical knowledge and hands-on skills. She incorporates a variety of techniques into her practice, including Swedish massage, fascial techniques, deep tissue work, and trigger point therapy, depending on patient goals and what their body needs.

Tiana’s approach to massage therapy is rooted in empathy and personal experience. After recovering from a complex ankle injury that involved multiple surgeries and long-term rehab, she gained a firsthand understanding of the physical and emotional challenges that come with healing. This journey has deepened her commitment to helping others navigate their own recovery with care and compassion.

Outside of the clinic, she recharges by snowboarding, biking, snapping photos with her analog camera, and spending time with her dog, Luna. These activities help keep her grounded and inspired.

Tiana is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and restorative space where each treatment is tailored to your individual needs. She looks forward to meeting you and supporting your wellness goals! ✨

📢📢 Welcoming our new RMT Joey Jung to the Sano team!

Joey is a graduate from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. He grew up playing competitive volleyball and basketball, as well as being a gym rat. Being an athlete himself, he has experienced injuries like inversion sprains, and repetitive strain injuries that led him to finding this career path.

He believes that there isn’t a “one size fits all” approach and will work with you to find sustainable long term solutions. The modalities he likes to use include Swedish techniques, myofascial release, deep tissue and trigger point therapy, dynamic release, IASTM and joint mobilizations.

Joey has an avid interest in working with athletes from all sports, weekend warriors and all those that enjoy exercise and movement in their life.

To share some holiday cheer and gratitude, we are doing a giveaway draw for our wonderful patients who have shared their positive experience on Google reviews.

Meet our new physiotherapist Joanne ✨

Joanne completed her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia. With a passion for helping people at every stage of life, Joanne has gained extensive clinical experience treating clients of all ages and activity levels— from children recovering from sports injuries to seniors managing chronic pain. She believes in providing personalized, one-on-one care and takes a holistic approach to treatment in order to restore function and improve quality of life.

Joanne integrates manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education to create customized treatment plans that are tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. She has certifications in the Shift Concussion Management Program, and in IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation) dry needling.

🌿 Join us in welcoming our newest registered massage therapist, Jenny Yau!

She graduated with a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree at UBC before completing her RMT diploma at Langara College. During the two-year RMT program, she has practiced in a variety of facilities such as ICORD, Harbour Dance Center, Villa Cathay Care Home, and Louis Brier Home and Hospital.

In a treatment session with her, you can expect hands-on swedish and manual therapy techniques to help you achieve your goals. Education is an important part of her treatment ensuring that you understand the root causes and expected healing timelines.

In her spare time, Jenny enjoys baking, hiking, gardening, reading, and playing guzheng (a traditional Chinese stringed instrument).

Jenny is available for RMT services on Tuesdays and Fridays. 🌼

📢✨ Welcoming our newest addition to the Sano team! Meet Kasia, a registered massage therapist who is passionate about helping others and is equipped with extensive knowledge of the human body.

She primarily focuses on the Swedish technique of therapeutics as the foundation in all of her treatments, while incorporating specific work in order to cater to each individual’s needs. She also utilizes myofascial release (MFR), trigger point release, active and passive stretching, and active and passive release.

She has a keen interest in women’s health, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions which keep her proactively updated in the evolving field of massage therapy. 🪻
