Aaaaaand that's a wrap for School's Out Summer Camp 2025! Our camp was jam packed with all sorts of adventurous and creative activities, while listening to LOTS of Kpop Demon Hunters music. We got to touch plenty of grass (and water and trees), challenge each other scientifically and competetively, express our creative selves through the messy mediums of paint, slime, and polymer clay, and got to try a variety of new experiences, like being buried in sand or trying the wooden roller coaster for the first time!

None of this would have been possible without the generous support of our funders who also dropped by for a visit during our first cohort! Many others have joined together and had a hand in making this summer camp our best one yet, so I'd like to give shout-outs to:

⭐️ for their Mental Health and Safer Minds curriculum, which helped our kids learn skills for resilience in engaging ways
⭐️Sharlene from for familiarizing our students with the outdoor world and the creatures they share space with
⭐️ Richmond for their consideration and hospitality when we came to visit the store for lunch
⭐️ for their generous donation of dodgeballs, allowing us to continue our usual bouts of incredibly competitive dodgeball between students and leaders
⭐️The parents and families of our School's Out kids, for joining us for a meal and experiencing the intensity of School's Out dodgeball!

Thank you to everyone for being part of the School's Out Summer experience - here's to looking forward to a fantastic school year!

Working together...

Richmond Addiction Services Society (RASS) has provided substance use support services in Richmond since 1975. “We are dedicated to providing expertise in preventing and treating addictions in our community”. Our prevention programming focuses on health promotion activities including educational workshops, recovery based programs and awareness campaigns throughout Richmond. RASS provides clinical counselling based on clients' needs whether they are using the substance or are impacted by someone else's use. RASS serves youth under the age of 25 and to persons older than 55. Our vision is for “healthy and safe living for individuals and families in our community". Our purpose is to provide accessible, low barrier and free services without judgment when and where it is needed.
