We are a well established community pharmacy in Richmond (located close to the Brighouse Skytrain Station) and seeking a full-time, preferably experienced pharmacy assistant.

Ability to speak Mandarin/Cantonese are an asset but not necessary.
Responsibilities will Include:
Data entry of patient care information into WinRx (Rx Software System)
Third Party Adjudication if necessary
Accurate Dispensing of Medications
Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control
Blister Packaging
Home Health Care Sales -- Bath Safety equipment, compression stockings, braces and supports, mobility aids (walkers, wheelchairs), etc.
Front Store Ordering/management

Required Qualifications:
Preferably one experience as a pharmacy assistant or certification from an accredited Pharmacy Assistant Program
Home Health Care experience a definite asset but we provide numerous paid opportunities for continuing education and advancement
Excellent organization and problem solving skills
Demonstrated customer service experience
Proficient computer/data entry skills
Strong motivation to succeed

Hay fever is upon us all, and many will be buying allergy medications. Did you know that anti-histamines (e.g. Reactine/Aerius/Benadryl etc), as well as nasal steroid sprays (e.g. Nasonex, Flonase etc), all need to be used for about a week to reach optimal effect? Using a saline nasal rinse is also another way to remove allergens and reduce allergy symptoms. Call us today for more info!

The cold season is upon us, and many of us are afflicted by the common cold. The source of this is actually the sinuses of the nasal passage, an area with the exact temperature range needed for the common cold virus to duplicate. A quick way to alleviate the congestion would be to rinse the sinus cavity with normal saline (weak salt water), and expel the contents, thus cleansing the site of the cold virus and drying out the nasal mucosa. We'd like to take this time to inform everyone that a new year means a reset of both BC Pharmacare and 3rd party (e.g work insurance) drug coverage plans. This means that most people will need to pay for their drugs, until an annual amount (deductible) has been reached. When this amount has been reached, the government or insurance plans will then pay a portion of the drug costs (e.g. 70%). Please call us if you have any questions!
