On April 28, we observe the National Day of Mourning to honour workers in British Columbia and across Canada who lost their lives, were injured, or became ill due to workplace incidents.
In 2025, 138 workers in British Columbia died from workplace injuries and illnesses. Behind every number is a person, a family, coworkers, and a community forever changed.
Today is a time to remember those we’ve lost, reflect on the impact of these tragedies, and renew our commitment to safer workplaces through prevention, training, and preparedness.
At SOS Emergency Response Technologies, we stand with all those affected and remain committed to supporting workplace safety across BC.
