Many of our goal is to “lose weight and maintain the weight after the diet“ Simply put, to lose WEIGHT, you must create a caloric deficit, to gain WEIGHT, you must create a caloric surplus. It’s the total caloric intake of the day that changes your weight. At the same time, our body’s mechanism isn’t that simple. We have to focus on “metabolism rate”instead of just the calories and numbers on the scale. METABOLISM plays a huge role when it comes to a long lasting lifestyle diet. If you decide to eat less just so you can see some numbers drop on the scale after binge/over eating, you will never going to get out of the rat race. First, educate yourself with the relationship between nutrition, muscle building and metabolism. Then, set a goal - what is your goal? Do you want to be thick? thin? Lean? Definition with some curve? Bulky? Strong? Are you okay with maintaining low intake diet for the rest of your life to keep the look? Or do you want to be able to handle more food even if you have to carry some fat underneath the muscles or build a body that is lean all year long while handling more food? Once your goal is set, now, you need to start your journey with a commitment that is realistic for your lifestyle. After that, it’s all about your action, experiment, observation and patience - it’s a mind game. I’d say this mind game is the hardest one. It’s not going to the gym, nor the meal prepping....it’s the mind you have to keep feeding the right information and positive body image instead of getting emotional. You’d be surprised how many fit people, coaches are still struggling every day too. But what makes it different from us and some others is that we accept what is happening to our one kind of body and make changes accordingly with years of patience and observations. We’ve made this as our lifestyle - so, once you do, the journey becomes just like brushing your teeth everyday.
Educate yourself and learn about your body, you have to love what you do to get to your goals.
