Welcome to our team Janyka!

My name is Janyka Drouin. In 2020, I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics partly from the Université de Moncton, where I played university hockey, and partly from the University of Ottawa. Building on this foundation, I completed my Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Ottawa in 2022.

During my undergraduate studies, I had the privilege of working as an athletic therapist with the Ottawa Junior Senators hockey team, as well as working as a trainer for the young athletes and participants of all ages. These experiences were instrumental in shaping my current path.

As someone who hails from a small town in Eastern Ontario and who loves to be active, I have always felt a strong connection to the community of Rockland. My deep interest in sports (hockey, baseball, golf), physical training, and the intricacies of the human body all feed into my passion for physiotherapy. Ultimately, my goal as a practitioner is to help people regain their complete physical abilities, surpass their limits safely while training and pursue their own passions and aspirations. Beyond my professional pursuits, my family and dogs hold a very special place in my life. I’m eager to contribute to the well-being of the community at Rockland Family chiropractic and wellness centre.

Bienvenue à Janyka qui se joint à notre équipe!

Mon nom est Janyka Drouin. En 2020, j’ai obtenu mon diplôme de baccalauréat en Kinésiologie partiellement de l’Université de Moncton, où j’ai joué au hockey universitaire et partiellement de l’Université d’Ottawa. J’ai ensuite poursuivi mes études et j’ai obtenu une maîtrise en physiothérapie à l’Université d’Ottawa en 2022.

En plus de mon expérience en tant que physiothérapeute, durant mon baccalauréat, j'ai vécu des expériences qui ont été déterminantes pour mon parcours actuel. Effectivement, j’ai eu le privilège de travailler en tant que thérapeute sportive avec l’équipe de hockey des Ottawa Junior Senators, ainsi qu’en tant que préparatrice physique pour les jeunes athlètes et sportifs de tous les âges.

Originaire d’une petite ville de l’est de l’Ontario et étant une personne très active, je ressens une forte connexion avec la communauté de Rockland. Mon profond intérêt pour le sport (hockey, baseball, golf), l’entraînement physique et les subtilités du corps humain alimentent tous ma passion pour la physiothérapie. Mon objectif en tant que praticienne est d’aider les gens à retrouver leurs capacités physiques, à repousser leurs limites d'entraînement de manière sécuritaire et à poursuivre leurs propres passions et aspirations. Au-delà de mes activités professionnelles, ma famille et mes chiens occupent une place très spéciale dans ma vie. Je suis impatiente de contribuer au bien-être de la communauté chez Rockland Family chiropractic and wellness centre.

With the new 'stay-at-home order' announced today by the Ford government our clinic remain open for patient care. However, if you wish to postpone your appointment please let us know as soon as possible so we can reschedule your appointment now and avoid any additional delay in your care once the order is lifted.

Also note that we are still not accepting new patients at the moment.

Avec le nouveau 'Stay-at-home order' annoncé aujourd'hui par le gouvernement Ford, notre clinique demeure ouverte pour vos soins. Toutefois, si vous jugez que votre rendez-vous n'est pas essentiel prière de nous en informer le plus rapidement possible pour que nous puissions le déplacer à dans 4 semaines.

Noter aussi que nous n'acceptons pas de nouveaux patients pour le moment.

Dear Patients,

Please note that our team will be on Holidays from December 25th to January 3rd. Also note that all of our services won't be affected by the lockdown starting December 26th.
