Thursday's Lyrics is "King" by Lauren Aquilina this week and the anime for this Anime Music Video is Hotarubi no Mori e.

Lauren Aquilina's song 'King' is a powerful anthem of self-empowerment and overcoming self-doubt. The lyrics speak to the listener in a direct and comforting manner, suggesting that despite feelings of loneliness and uncertainty, one possesses everything needed to rise above challenges. The song encourages the listener to count their blessings rather than focusing on flaws, promoting a positive outlook on life.

The chorus of 'King' is particularly uplifting, with Aquilina urging the listener to 'reclaim your crown' and take control of their life. The metaphor of being a king symbolizes taking charge and being the ruler of one's own destiny. The reference to 'monsters inside your head' and putting 'all your faults to bed' suggests a battle with inner demons and insecurities, which can be conquered by embracing one's true potential and worth.

The bridge of the song, 'There's method in my madness, There's no logic in your sadness,' implies that while the singer acknowledges her own struggles, she sees no benefit in succumbing to sadness. This line serves as a reminder that wallowing in misery does not bring any gains, and it's a call to action to break free from the chains of self-imposed limitations. Aquilina's message is clear: everyone has the power to be 'king' again, to regain confidence, and to live a life free from the constraints of doubt and fear.

I will leave the interpretation of the amv to you after knowing what the song means.

Thursday's lyrics include "Just Give Me A Reason" by P!nk feat. Nate Ruess this week.

This is a really amazing, heartbreaking song about the desire to hold on to a relationship, even when it appears to be breaking down.

The female perspective in the song is reminiscing about how she first fell in love with her husband. She wants to believe that they’re still in love as they used to be, but she starts to feel insecure, and she isn’t sure how her husband feels about it. She thinks that the flame is gone out of their relationship, and she doesn’t know how to fix that.

The male perspective is completely oblivious to what his wife’s feelings and is surprised that she feels that way because he thought that everything was going well between them. He soon realizes that she’s right, and he also wants them to go back to the way they used to be. However, it is not easy, and they need to put more effort into their marriage.

We went out on a grand adventure to our backyard, the Rocky Mountains just recently!

The area we headed to is a wild, beautiful area of the Rocky Mountains with breath-taking views and amazing fresh mountain air just west of Rocky Mountain House.

It is home to a great many wild creatures such as deer, moose, elk, bears, wolves, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, and even a couple herds of our famous Alberta Wildies (our wild horses)!

Photos and videos courtesy of participants. Thank you for catching so many of them!

Thank you to our outfitters Dell and Judy Whitford, and our event leader Dustyanne Evans, who all chipped in at lunch and throughout the day with the horses and less experienced riders. It was greatly appreciated!

The original Trappers cabin my dad build up on his trapline where we stopped for lunch. The new outhouse and shed is where the cabin used to be. My dad built it back when he got the trap line some time between 1977 - 1979 I think.
