Today is a big day! I completed my Prenatal Pelvis Treatment course this weekend and I am beyond excited to incorporate these new techniques into my practice. For those of you who don’t know, I’m Tanis (and this is Petunia my model pelvis). I’ve been a prenatal yoga teacher for over 10 years, former doula, and a registered massage therapist. I’m also currently pregnant with my second baby. Slowly, I’m aiming my massage practice to focus on the pre and postnatal season of a woman’s life. This includes women well into their journey of motherhood; as once the female pelvis has experienced a pregnancy, it will never be as it was. Much like the woman herself. The further I wade into motherhood the more I believe wholeheartedly in “mothering the mother”. Fostering a space where women feel seen, cared for, and supported beyond their massage treatment is my goal.
