Christmas coffee looks a little different this year... π
I never used to drink coffee. It was only when needed to stop a Chinook headache. It worked and was cheaper than drugs. Then someone offered me one with Bailey's out camping. Oooooh... it was good! So good, it became a camping morning staple. Then it was a celebratory breakfast drink with cake on birthdays. And I fully admit to having it in my cup on occasion at the studio. (Remember Beer Yoga? π¬)
When I made the choice to change my relationship with alcohol, the fake Bailey's creamer was good (or any other sweet creamer - we'll talk about the sugar addiction another day!) I enjoy the flavor of Bailey's so when I came across this coffee, I had to try it. And I quite like it!
Let's talk about this some more...
The non-alcohol beers and beverages are great for anyone that is looking to cut back buy still enjoy the flavor of an alcoholic drink. I came across a comment on a sobriety page I follow on social media that asked "why create something that could potentially trigger someone in recovery to relapse?". Good question! And there's no simple answer. I believe for the most part it's a social thing. Not drinking at social events is getting to more popular but many of us are still faced with questions and uncomfortable comments. Having other options besides water, juice and pop at your holiday events is an excellent way to support your sober or soberish family and friends.
If you are considering a change in your relationship with alcohol please reach out. I'd be happy to chat and share options, support pages or just lend an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on if need. Hugs are always available too!!!
Merry Christmas!
Happy Holidays!!
Season's Greetings!!!
Love y'all! πβοΈπ
