The Saddle Hills Health Clinic, run by Nurse Practitioner, Palvi Sharma, provides medical services to Saddle Hills County residents.

Saddle Hills County is pleased to announce that the Saddle Hills County Health Clinic will reopen to County residents on January 5, 2026.

The Clinic will operate Monday to Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. County residents can begin booking appointments as of January 5, 2026.

The project to bring power to campsites at the Spring Lake Campground is now complete. Campers will be able to take advantage of the new powered sites during the 2026 season. 🏕️

Further details on campsite bookings, including seasonal sites, will be advertised in Spring 2026.

Head down to Centennial Hall, in Spirit River, on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 10 to 11 a.m., for Forever Young Fitness, a group exercise class designed with you in mind! 🏋️‍♀️

This twice weekly event is geared towards those not currently exercising, seniors at risk of fall, and patients living with chronic diseases like hypertension, obesity, and diabetes. The program will take place over 8 weeks, beginning October 20, 2025, and ending December 10, 2025.

Patients of the Central Peace Health Center can enroll by contacting the clinc directly, before October 6, 2025.

Saddle Hills County is pleased to announce that a Nurse Practitioner has been hired to fill in for Nurse Practitioner Palvi Sharma during her maternity leave. Courtney Sideroff joined the team on November 26, 2025. 🩺

On September 2, 2025, the new Northern Alberta Medical Program at Northwestern Polytechnic in Grande Prairie, welcomed its first cohort of 30 students. The program is part of the provincial governments initiative to increase access to family doctors and healthcare professionals in rural and northern communities. 🩺

Protect yourself and your community. Stay aware of current measles exposures and register for your seasonal vaccinations in the Central Peace.

A confirmed measles case has prompted warnings in the region, including in Grande Prairie, Spirit River, and Fairview.

Alberta Health Services has advised that those at the following locations during the times reported, may have been exposed:
🩺 Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, Pediatric Unit 33: September 23, 2025 | 12 p.m. – 5:10 p.m.
🩺 Fairview Health Complex Emergency Department: September 22, 2025 | 10:40 a.m. – 6:55 p.m.
🩺 Central Peace Health Complex, Spirit River: September 22, 2025 | 8:25 p.m. – 11:15 p.m.

With this in mind, seasonal vaccinations are now available for flu and/or Covid vaccinations. Vaccines are available by drop-in or appointment.
