This is 43
One year into my metal years
Seeing what magic I can make in these middle years
This time of letting go and finding the gold within
Letting go of the stress and worry, the inner critic and need to know
Tending and nourishing this body, mind, heart and soul.
Listening to the whispers from within
Dreaming a better world for all my kin

Deeply grateful for this life, this path, this dream, all of you!! 💕✨💜💫

Been a week on the Oaxacan Coast, basking in the wild and powerful vibes of the Pacific Ocean. The water and travelling with toddlers has been teaching me of the importance of flow!

A magical weekend spent amongst arbutus and cedar, eagle and raven, ducks and huts. Ritual, journeys and solo sleeps. Laying of hands and listening to bones and the stories they hold!

Excited to see what comes of this magical work!

Gorse- medicine to restore faith and hope

A few days ago on my morning walk all through my favourite Garry oak meadow, I did a journey to my ancestors and while we spoke of ancient knowledge of healing my ancestor told me to go and find some Gorse.

Turns out the flower essence of this “invasive species” is for restoring hope and faith in times of hopelessness. What perfect medicine for this moment in time!!

This past weekend I have seen the devastating toll this conflict has put on my community and loved ones. The fears and traumas of our ancestors are triggered at these times and can affect our sleep, digestion, emotions, and pain.

Anyone who is feeling overwhelmed, afraid, stressed or having challenges functioning due to this conflict is welcome to come and reset their systems and find some peace this Thursday Oct 12th from 11-2pm .

I first came across babywearing when i was travelling overseas. In Tanzania, India and South East Asia I saw women and older children carrying around their infants and small children wherever they went and from the moment I first saw it I knew I would wear my babies and sleep with my babies and feed my babies from my body.

We have been hardwired genetically to be held, to feel the heart beat of our parents and the warmth of their skin. Babies who are worn tend to be happier as it is much like the womb being rocked, and held close, their nervous systems come into harmony with ours and the oxytocin of such touch supports mom and babe. Their temperature is modulated by ours and we get some good exercise to boot. There really are no down sides to wearing your baby.

If you have any questions i am always happy to chat about this and show you some techniques for woven wraps (my fav!)

It’s international Babywearing week!!

I have loved wearing my babies so deeply. Neither of them were in a stroller until over a year.

It is the easiest hands free way to connect, comfort, carry and nurse babies and mama also gets a good dose of oxytocin while doing it!

We have entered into October, quite possibly my very favourite month. As the days shorten, leaves change and we are called inward nature is asking us to get in touch with our inner metal. The element that asks us what do we value and what value do we offer the world. Ruled by the lungs and large intestine these organs of inspiration and release help us to process the natural grief that comes up as things in our lives die away just as the leaves that fall from the trees.

So take a nice deep breath in and ask yourself what is it that I am holding on to that I need to let go of and what is it that I value most that I want to become the golden core of my being?

Need help working with grief, sadness, letting go, lung, skin or bowel issues come and book in for a session.

How do you treat this one precious body, your sacred consort as Clarissa Pinkola Estes calls it?
Have you befriended it?
Do you respond when it tells you it is thirsty, hungry, tired, full?
Do you tell it how grateful you are for the millions of functions it continuously does for you without you asking?

It is a practice and it is possible to create a relationship with this most amazing vessel of life.

We have been taught to reject, control, shame these bodies for thousands of years.

How can you honour your body today? How can you connect with it like a good friend? What is it asking for right now?
