We’re proud to highlight our partnership with Caregivers Alberta & St. Albert Further Education. Their support has helped us to create meaningful impact for those in need across our community.💙

Caregivers Alberta is a provincial leader that has supported unpaid caregivers for over 20 years. For the past three years, we’ve proudly partnered to bring COMPASS for the Caregiver to St. Albert and Sturgeon County, empowering caregivers with tools, resilience, and connection. Their support for grassroots organizations like SASHA is truly a beacon of light.

We also celebrate our valued relationship with St. Albert Further Education, which has been strengthening our community through five decades of accessible adult learning and newcomer support. Their Newcomers Group is often a first connection point for those new to St. Albert, and our collaboration continues to deepen how SASHA’s programs and resources welcome and support newcomers.

SASHA is pleased to host Caregivers Alberta’s COMPASS for the Caregiver at the Further Ed building starting March 18.

Did you know Albertans have the right to ask if a current or former partner has a history of domestic violence?

Under Clare’s Law, you can request this information through the Government of Alberta to make informed decisions about your safety.

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their relationships and knowing your rights is an important step toward empowerment.

👉🏻 This situation is only temporary
👉🏻 I won’t stress over the things that I can’t change
👉🏻 I can’t change what has already happened
👉🏻 I won’t waste my time or energy fighting the past
👉🏻 I have dealt with difficulties before and I can deal with this
👉🏻 I might not like it, but this is what has happened
👉🏻 I can accept things the way they are
👉🏻 How I react in this situation is what I can control in the moment
👉🏻 The present is the only moment I have control over
👉🏻 I don’t have control over the past
👉🏻 Not everything will go my way, but I can be flexible
👉🏻 I can’t predict the future and I am okay with that
