We wanted to share some tips for families to help deal with the Children's Tylenol and Advil shortage.

Children who weigh 48lbs or more can take a Regular Strength Tylenol (325mg) every 4-6 hours as needed. You can also use regular strength Advil (200mg) every 6-8 hours as needed.

Nicole's tips for teaching a child to swallow a pill:

The red Tylenol tablets and brand Advil are sugar coated. They are slippery and forgiving if not swallowed right away.

Get them to put it as far back in their tongue as they can when it's sticking out of their mouth. Then a drink out of a bottle... soda with bubbles often works because it causes a gulp.
