💉💉Shoppers Drug Mart Mission Hill is now offering Walk Ins for Moderna Vaccines💉💉! We want to do everything we can to ensure that our community members have easy access to both first and second doses. Currently Albertans, 18 and over, can receive Moderna for their second dose regardless of what their first dose was! Come see us anytime 9am-830pm.❤️💙❤️

We are very excited to be offering Pfizer Vaccines. Our supplies are currently limited and as such we are fully booked until May 15th. I am doing what I can to open up new appointments but for the time being please visit the AHS website if you would like to book sooner https://www.albertahealthservices.ca/topics/page17295.aspx

The important thing is that everyone is immunized as soon as possible. I would LOVE to give everyone who has phoned, messaged, emailed, or came in to the store an appointment, but my team can only accommodate so much with our current supply. We appreciate your patience! I will ensure that I post when we have more appointments available. I am so thankful that demand is as high as it is!

Vaccines are a critical way to limit the spread of the virus. They are effective and safe for protecting our health, as well as the health of family and community members.

Today was a great Saturday! So many people excited to be getting their first dose of the Astra Zeneca vaccine. Our patients are so engaged and well informed, it’s amazing! Whatever vaccine you choose, for whatever reason, just choose to be vaccinated if you are able to be.

Special thanks to my hard working team! Our pharmacists and support team take on a lot of extra work to make sure these vaccines get in to arms as quickly as possible 💙❤️💙
... also I feel like I’m forgetting what the bottom half of people’s faces look like! Just me???

Today is an great day! Our pharmacy team is excited to join the ranks of hard working immunizers (nurses, physicians, pharmacists, health faculty students etc.) in providing a COVID-19 Vaccine option at our store.

We are offering Astra Zeneca doses to those individuals who are between 55 and 64 and who do not have an excluding chronic medical condition. The energy in the pharmacy as we provided those first doses was amazing.💉

Our pharmacy was not selected by AHS as one of the 102 in the province to provide the first round of community pharmacy COVID vaccines. We are hopeful that we will be added on soon and will keep you posted!

Please be patient and respectful to those pharmacies that are working through this initial rollout (see link). They are all so busy managing all of the requests. I am thankful that pharmacy is involved in this process and so proud of my pharmacy colleagues across Alberta.

Today I was able to visit Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation to deliver our Growing Women's Health cheque. The three St. Albert Shoppers Drug Marts were able to raise over $7,000 for the foundation in our fall campaign. We are excited about this partnership and look forward to finding ways that we can help Jessie's House help many more families in need.

We are now offering Asymptomatic COVID throat swabs. My team and I have made the decision to focus on Teachers, Education Assistants, and School Administrators as our first testing group. It is important that we prioritize this group to ensure that we are in the best position, as a community, for the start of school.

We know that many of you want to do your part and get your tests done, and we are hopeful that we will be booking in the other adults in the second week of September. In the coming weeks more pharmacies in St. Albert may be joining this effort to offer Asymptomatic tests and that too may increase your accessibility to testing options.

I know that many of you want to have a test completed, but I ask you to be patient and respectful with my team. These tests do not come without my pharmacy team members taking on a LOT more work and some additional risk. We are all doing our best. Stay safe!😷

We are VERY excited to be back up to regular operating hours today. Our store is now open 9AM-9PM.

We are thankful for the kindness and patience our customers have shown us as we continue to to our best to work through the increased workload associated with COVID-19. The safety or our staff and customers remains our primary focus.
